Nebula, we seemed to really get side tracked here, It might be better to relate back to your post and if the Rapture doesn't happen we can stone Christian Counselor later for being a false prophet.

Might I ask who the "Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders" are. I have not had the time to look into this group in enough detail to understand how they work together.

IN FACT, FALSE PROPHETS WILL ABOUND MORE AND MORE.  GOD DOES NOT DO LIKE THIS.  HIS PROPHETS DO NOT WORK LIKE THIS.

BEWARE OF ANY THAT COME RIGHT OUT AND SAY "LISTEN TO ME I AM A PROPHET, I AM AN APOSTLE."  GOD WILL SHOW YOU WITHOUT THEM SAYING ANYTHING LIKE THAT.  THE HOLY SPIRIT REVEALS WHO HE HAS CHOSEN TO BE THAT POSITION.  IT IS NOT A LEARNED THING.  NO MAN CAN SET THEM UP AS ONE.  THEY CANNOT TAKE THE POSITION TO THEMSELVES.

THESE PROPHECIES ARE CREATED IN THEIR OWN MINDS OR INSPIRED BY SATAN HIMSELF.

Just a couple of thoughts about this thread.

I am guessing the CHristian Counselor will publish (and is busy now) his next book in the next couple weeks and that is why we are not hearing from him. It will be called...

" 2,005 reasons for Jesus in 2,005" , the first reason will be , " The Holy Spirit told me."

Personally, I am a post-tribber. I believe the church is a victorious people who don't run from tribulation.

I also am very leary of much of the apostolic and prophetic movements, but am a strong believer in apostolic and prophetic ministry. Much of what was written in this article I believe is wisdom from the L-rd and believe they were on (sometimes I believe they are off). I already see the church being encouraged to be extravagant givers to the poor. I also see the marketplace beginning to rise as a form of evangelism and apostolic ministry. (For example)... in my life I am working a parttime job as a missionary in order to establish a congregation in a city that is utterly closed to the gospel... they would be threatened by missionaries, but are not threatened by a marketplace saler who compassionately gives them the best service (and then preaches the gospel to them). I have raised funds, and this job is making pennies... but is opening huge doors that otherwise would not be opened. Congregational planting and pioneering other ministries is an apostolic function. So I can see this articles view. Each time my boss gives me a promotion because he has never seen service (or the anointing of the Spirit) like I want to give... the glory goes to Yeshua and to the spreading of the gospel in the city. After a congregation is planted in that city and indigeneous leaders trained... I will either ask for a transfer to another city or quit and get another job in another city to do it all over again.

BTW- my guess is that the people who wrote this article is Peter Wagner's roundtable.

From what I can find out, specifically, for this article, it is C. Peter Wagner, Cindy Jacobs, and Chuck Pierce, who are from GlobalHarvests, Generals International, and Glory-of-Zion respectively. There are many many more. They are all from the ElijahList.

The Elijah List folks are "New-agers"?????? I thought new agers beliefs were primarily....like....Kabalahists, and Middle East beliefs....."we are all going to heaven", "we all have the power within us"????? I don't see that on the Elijah List website.
