I APOLOGIZE FOR BRINGING THIS TOPIC BACK UP ?

but I have come across a research into this topic that needs more in sight , and I wanted to get more input on this,

so please bear with me, I could not find this topic again and so I had to start it over,

I was watching a video of someone explaining that the sons of god ,was not of seth, and that they were really angelic beings , that came into the women of men, and it was something I refused to believe, for why ,or how would angelic beings be able to have off spring with humans,

so I wanted to share that the findings and the break down has changed my thoughts of changing my answer to what I believed was the right answer but now , it is not clear, to me, but the explaination of this person, makes total sense for the reasons I will show you what was told.

who are the sons of god in genesis 6 that is mentioned?

did not the sons of god come with lucifier, into the presents of God ?

could the sons of god be angelic too and prior to adam?

are the sons of god fallen angels, or men of the bloodline of seth ?

what would be the reason for the sons of god to mix with the daughters of men?

was it a reason that we never noticed, like trying to mess with the dna ?

the dna getting tampered with so that to stop Jesus ,from being conceived through davids bloodline?

I find it really interesting, and if it seems crazy, but I know that your comments and responses will help gather ,

a much needed research ,could this be true or another story that holds no water ? I am ready and all ears, thank you .

There is already a lot of discussion on this in the other thread, and you will find a lot of resistance to the possibility that the angels which kept not their first estate actually had intercourse with human women, and as a result produced giants and men of renown. The fact that these are called "sons of God" makes it clear that they are not ordinary human beings (see Job 1:6;2:1).

My thoughts on this subject are few and simple.  If the 'Sons of God' were angels, spirit beings, they could not breed with humans.  That Nephalim existed, I believe, but haven't been able to figure out the dna.  No nonhuman dna shows up in the genetic history of mankind so they HAD to have been some sort of human race of beings.  OR,.,..God may have wiped all trace of them from the genetic record when He sent the flood.

so have we come to any conclusion, were they angelic beings with humans, or was it violent dangerous men with women, for I believe there is three views, the sons of god was angelic, that also was with satan coming in the presence of god ,in the book of job ?

seths bloodline of regular men, or just violent and wild men, for we see giants were in the land, where they really giants from the sons of god and women of men, or just giants were part of a race of creation?

the bibles have three different views or ways of saying this depending on which bible we can say is the right bible?

Views on this do not depend on the Bible being used, but on the indoctrination being accepted, or on the study being made independently. So there will always be a divergence of views. The very fact that "sons of God" is mentioned should be a trigger that these men were not ordinary human beings, therefore the results were extraordinary, and also extraordinarily unrighteous, and ultimately leading to the Flood.  From Adam to Noah, not one of the men of faith is called a "son of God" in the OT. But Adam is called "the son of God" in the NT (Lk 3:38) because he was a direct creation of God. So were these other angelic beings -- "the angels which kept not their first estate".

Job 1:6–7 (AV)

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 2:1–2 (AV)

1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Now if this place of presentation was in heaven, then the sons of Seth explanation for Genesis 6 has a real problem. For no man has ascended to heaven or descended from heaven before Jesus (John 3:13).

If this place of presentation was on the earth, we are hard pressed to find record of it (a pre-Jerusalem setting) in the biblical record, the historic record, or the archaeological record.

The sons of God refers to angels in Job chapters 1 and 2. This is confirmed by:

Job 38:1–7 (AV)

1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Unless Genesis 1 and 2 are wrong and God created the sons of Seth before he created the world.

There is another reference on the subject:

Luke 3:38 (AV)

38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

But notice the distinction between the plural and the singular. Angels do not procreate. They are created each directly by God (and Adam was and as Jesus' humanity was). All of humanity comes from humanity through procreation with the exception of Christ of course* and Eve also but she was taken from Adam's side. So the sons of God cannot refer to humans but only to the first and last Adams. 

Angels do not procreate (Matthew 22:30). This does not mean they cannot procreate. So says the argument that angels cohabited with human females in Genesis 6. 

Some try to compromise the two arguments (angels versus sons of Seth) by saying angels possessed humans and then cohabited. But that would beg the question why only males were possessed?

And the nephilim mentioned in close proximity to Genesis 6:1-2 suggests their existence hinged on that act of procreation. And no normal human procreation produces giants / fallen ones / nephilim.

*Virgin birth / Marian surrogacy argument (subject for another thread).

The only argument that answers all problems is that fallen angels somehow managed to impregnate human females and have abnormal offspring by them.  And the only true objection to this argument is the refusal to believe it possible based on no supportive evidence for that impossibility. 

I remember feeling the same way at age 7 about not believing anything other than the stork bringing all babies was true. It was 1968 and we lived in a world where kids were not exposed to the birds and the bees before they were out of diapers themselves.
