None of us is perfect and all are a work in progress...including you. We are not perfect, mods and members too, so do not be too judgemental, forgive and look beyond the hurt to the positive things you have learned. If you choose to leave may God be other you wherever you go.

lol.    Very interesting to see that most of the responses pretty much reflect the character of those who wrote them down.

My sentiments reflects with those who said a kind word to you and wish you to stay.

So, I do wish you reconsider and come back and take this place not to seriously with all the differences of personalities.

Just remember this place is a smorgasbord of people. Some here are about as christian kind as Ebeneser Scrooge on a good day

and before he meets with his spirits.

They most of all need some to keep them in prayer.

So you are needed here.  : )

God bless

No, I prefer public rebuke before all to those that sin against others through fear veiled as love.  Fear should not rule us.  Sometimes things get messy.  I prefer the truth not be eapunged from public veiw for that is dangerous. Of course that is not extended to spammers who sneak in and put up vile images or porn links but rather making ones self judge of whether something is 'edifying' or not.  I have grown most by hanging out with theives, liars, whores and murders whose mouths cannot depart from profanity.  By eating with publicans and sinners I have truly  learned about grace but don't  dare get out of line at worthy while breaking bread or you'll be considered nonedifying and need to be censored.  That is sad.  Everyone must achieve your ideal of a bottom standard to even be allowed to speak on a board or be done away with.  That isn't  true ministry.  Especially when someone is allowed to continually go about telling everyone else just how stupid, ignorant and uneducated they are while others are being silenced.  Iniquity, that is what it is.  Our leaders are supposed to be trusted servants rather than governors.  The Lord rebuke those who would act otherwise.

Well, I would have been willing to discuss this, and try to get to the bottom of the problem, but, archaeologist asked not to be contacted, so I won't. If a person has what they feel is a legitimate complaint, they should contact a staff member, and not complain about their issue in a post. It is not as if there is any way possible for us to read every post on this website, so many issues will never be known, if we are not made aware of them.

One of the posts in the thread, mentioned something to the effect that over zealous moderators block or delete content, but since no specifics were given it is hard to comment on that. We get complaints also, that we allow too much content and that more things should be censored.deleted. With 70,000 registers users, from many countries, customs, religions, denominations, political ideologies, standards of conduct, sensitivities, cultures, etc. it can be a challenge to please everybody. I tend to be a bit on the tolerant side, trying to allow people their voice. I allow things to remain, that probably should not be allowed.

I do think that there are some things that people say here, that should be thought out a little bit, before typing something crude or abusive, when the same thought could have been conveyed in more tasteful terms. What a person types in there posts, may seem fine to them, but it may not be seen in the same light, by other readers, try to be sensitive to that, before hitting the enter key.

Someone mentioned there being something crude in a thread that I was just reading, and another poster agreed. Then one wondered why the moderators don't do something about it. There is a reason usually, why something like that might be unattended to - likely no moderator was made aware of it, as I said, we cannot read everything. That is why there is a "report post" option at the top of every post, so that if you think there is something that needs to be addressed, we can be alerted to the problem. We cannot reply to every report. We may nor choose to do anything if we do not beleive any action is required. If we do decide to take action, it might be delayed, as we have a very small staff, and limited time to give to managing the forums. Please try to be patient.

Regarding posts or thread being deleted. Again, no specifics given, that make it difficult to respond to, since we have no idea what is referred to. It is very possible, that whatever the problem there is, that is is not what it appeared to be. I looked in the deleted area, and only found one post that might have been what was referred to, but I do not even know why it was deleted. I cannot read everything, do not have the time to sift through tens of thousands of words - needles in haystacks take time.

When you have a compliant, contact us and be specific. We are not mind readers!

Regarding a desire not to be contacted or notified etc., there are settings a person can adjust at http://www.worthychristianforums.com/notifications/options/ if they are logged in. Also, one can also set filters on their own email service, to adjust what is treated as spam. There are things one can do to take control of and manage their own, specific requirements.
