Question though: Daniel chapter 2 and 8 obviously are not contemporary, agree? Well, at least chapter 8 starts out "old time" but I think switches gear at v. 23, when the man of intrigue enters the picture. Why would God throw chapter 7 in between those two and make it all contemporary? Doesn't that seem a bit odd? I realize you would have to be in the mind of God to properly answer it, but I still would like to hear your thoughts regarding such.

You asked a question about the pope not speaking about Jesus......this is a subject that continues to rub me wrong. Coming out of the Catholic darkness and into the light, I really have a hard time feeling good about a religion with their history, track record for killing Saints, and horrible dogma. I often wonder if they are the harlot that rides the beast.

Furthermore, the Antichrist will make Jerusalem his centre of power, not Mecca (2 Thess 2:4), and Rome and the church of Rome will be closely linked to him.
