He erred right off in saying  Flaming sword of the angel was God protecting His Stuff? God gave dominion of the earth to Adam and at this
point Adam had given it over to satan and God cursed it...  the protecting was for us from being sealed in our sin !
He then erred in saying the law was about salvation yet God said the blood of bulls and goats could not save !

Paul said the law was given to make us dead by God through His Word because we are sold unto sin Rom 7 !

The Law & sacrifices were for many reasons. They were set up as shadows (Hebrews 10:1), (1 Corinthians 5:7-8), (John 1:29),

for celebrating the feasts* (which actually falls under the "shadow of good things to come"), for feeding the Levites (Joshua 13:14),

and lastly, they were set up so we can reflect on our own sins.

There is a reason why God said this to David
1 Ch 28:3
3 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name,
because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
KJV

Conclusion: there is a spiritual walk and a physical walk and they are at war with one another... If we walk in The Spirit we will not fulfill the
desires of the flesh. But if we walk in the flesh we sin... the pathway is hard and few there be that find it-
the reason-> it is a walk by The promoting by Spirit to faith not of sight:

2 Co 5:6-9
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body,
we are absent from the Lord:

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present
with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
KJV

Jesus always answered that the control was not of anything but His Father and His Will:

Jn 19:10-11
10 Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to
crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at
all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee
hath the greater sin.
KJV

Here's what I don't understand about this man's reasoning if God had already shown Himself strong and able to deliver why would he
turn back to the reliance of his own arm of flesh? Had not God already shown a different path to him one of God not his own effort?

What the Bible says about self-defense

In the following verses, Jesus spoke of spiritual matters, but used principles which He and his audience accepted as true (I cannot believe that Jesus would use as a teaching example something which was not lawful)

Luke 11:21-22
21 "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace.
22 But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils."

And how can the master of the house prevent his house from being broken into except that he use deadly force?

Luke 12:39
39 "But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into."

Which leads us back to Exodus 22:2

Exodus 22:2
2 "If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed."

Pro 25:26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.

There could have been some things who were not right, from what I heard I liked it very much but then I was walking in and out the room to do things while I listened at the same time....

Just a slight twisting of the beginning of reason and the ending can be far from the reality of God's reasoning...  the only
entity that would profit by refocusing our point of importance from Col 3 would be the ruler of this world...  he controls
by making the things that pass away more important than that which does not pass away- seen here
Jn 12:25-26
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve
me, him will my Father honour.
KJV

This hatred arises from the s/Spirit verses flesh Rom 7... We know our flesh ceases but does it not demand our constant
attention to be satisfied? Does this not anger you when you give what it ask and it is still not satisfied?
Satan knows if he controls the center of our focus and places that focus on that which passes away... we will make our
values for the things now more important than the values of His promises of eternal keeping. One might think why can
I not have both- these are the ones already infected with the love of their lives now!  Love, Steven

well,  whoever's kingdom is of the earth... that's for them, that's what they get, right ?.

whoever's kingdom is where 10,000 times 10,000 angels could be summoned, that's for the others.

Hi simplejeff;

Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

"Whosoever sheddeth man's blood, BY MAN shall HIS BLOOD BE SHED (Genesis. 9:5-6)."

Jesus told His disciples to buy a sword. for self protection and defence. This Scripture can be taken literally, as it meant protection from wild beasts and robbers that filled Judea, which if they found them unprotected, would not hesitate to take their lives.

Jesus never said, pray and 10,000 times 10, 000 angels will be sent to protect you?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
