I'm not accusing anyone. I'm trying to say in that room crowded with 700 people a person trying to be a peace maker by saying who's right, who's wrong would just add to the confusion.  someone trying to take control in out of control situations just elevates the conflict. So they prayed the Lords peace on everyone., those in the right, those in the wrong, those mourning, those who where angry, those who were wounded and those who were afraid. The Lord gave them all peace because betsy and corrie asked Him to give them peace. So It changed how i look at family fights or arguments at work and how I think of this troubled world.

I can see the term ISIL being more accurate in not identifying with those who oppose Israel but merely including those that do oppose Israel.

And make no mistake about it, Obama is no supporter of Israel. I personally think that the Levant includes all who oppose Israel in the region.

Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is not accurate so long as ISIL has Assad in their way.  The sleeping Bear bombed ISIL in western Syria to prop up Assad... nothing more.

I cannot help but wonder how much worse off we would be if Obama had carried out the cruise missile strikes on Assad that he backed down from a few years back.

Assad is the beast everyone makes him out to be. But like lawyers, sometimes it takes having a beast in certain places at certain times to keep the over all peace.

I guess I do not know what your asking Davida. My first comment about praying for peace and sharing the testimony of Corrie Ten Boom:) was my response to the original post.

To me this world is so out of control I don't even know where to stand on the daily reports of outrages conduct, so I just kneel and pray for the Lords peace.

To the Muslims, the term Levant describes land that Muslims believe belongs to them. The Levant to Muslims, includes the land of Israel. ISIL means, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. That name means they claim the land of Israel as belonging to them.

Firstly, praying to our God is never a wrong thing to do. I also see nothing wrong in praying for peace. Nevertheless there are examples in the OT when God commanded Israel to go to war and so they also prayed for victory. This was also done multiple times during WW 2. I say that as long as a peaceful solution is even slightly possible that's my 1st prayer. Whether or not it is with ISIS isn't really the topic here. So I do pray for peace.

I think so long as Obama is in office we will not be waging war with the radical Islamist's who don't want peace. That's why I pray for God's will to be done here, which includes who our next president will be. We are told to pray for our leaders. Of course since God usually works through people we should all vote and this year my state will probably get to vote in the primaries, which I intend to do. Yet I know that ultimately God's will shall be done. So I hope and pray that God will grant that America continue to survive. It is to this end that I always say we all need to repent of our sins. Both as individuals and as a nation. And don't be fooled, to repent means not just to be sorry but also to try and change our sins the best we can. Even though we fail at some point daily, tomorrow we try harder.

You are absolutely correct.  Obama is telling the Muslim world that Israel does not count.  And if Obama had his way, he would hand Israel over to Hamas, Hezbollah, and ISIS on a platter.  He has indirectly done that by giving Iran all the slack it needs to fool the world, while receiving billions of dollars in aid of worldwide Jihad.
