Yes, Paul's warning about other gospels.  It strikes me that he was really concerned that the early church was being contaminated with false teaching.

1 Galatians  KJV

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

I'm gonna give you my favorite verse from Galatians!  I think it would make a great starting point for a paper that would be edifying to the environment you are in.

"Stand therefore in that liberty with which The Messiah has set us free, and do not be yoked again in a yoke of bondage," (Galatians 5:1).

This is my favorite verse of all verses from the book Galatians personally, because it caused me to realize how I could relapse into a yoke of bondage as a believer and recovery doesn't stop even when you get a handle on your addictions.  There are all sorts of yokes to become bound even without drugs.  So, it is an important subject for me because I have even attended NA and AA once upon a time.  I know from my own experience in those environments that relapse is a major subject.

Good luck.

The beautiful epistle to the Galatians!

Leaving justification by faith as presented in Romans and the carnality of early Christandom of Corinth many soon after fall into the pit of returning to the law.  The endless debates over not being able to understand what is right and wrong outside of the law of Moses traps many who are yet carnal into legalistic thinking and division.  But thanks be to God for the excellent argument against returning to the law of carnal commandments that did not profit the original hearers either.  And the encouragement to walk by the faith of the indwelling spirit of Christ who leads and guides Christians to love God, their neighbor and each other without the law of carnal commandments that he nailed to his cross as he took them out of the way of true unity of purpose under Gods reign.

My favorite part is the explanation that the laws purpose was to bring them unto Christ.  As it is also written that one learns of sin by the law.  After the law has revealed sin and brought one to Christ then the law has finished its work and Christ writes his law upon the heart of the believer who follows his commands from within rather than without.

Thank God for Galatians!  Christ truly is the end of the law for righteousness for them who believe.

Galatians is the Spirit vs Flesh chapter every book in the Bible has a main theme. John is the Father chapter its talks about  the Father heavily. Hebrews is the faith chapter as well dealing with chastening. Romans is the obedience law of sin vs law of God (according to KJV of course)

Chapter 6 vs 12 and then 13 are interesting when thinking of the various ways legalism enters and grows in a fellowship.

Seems to me the reason Paul was so angry with them and compared what they were doing, in a sense, to witch craft, is they were making the gentiles circumcise themselves to avoid being persecuted by the local Jews. Persecution first began by the circumcision before Rome stepped in.

"Those who desire to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, simply that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. For those who are circumcised do not even keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh." Gal 6:12,13 nasb

"As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised, only lest they should be persecuted for the cross of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law, but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh."  KJV

Cowards, heavy shepherds and hypocrites -- my take on it anyway. They will end up denying the one who bought them their freedom.

Gal 6 is why I believe the seeker sensitive model has been developed in this manner, avoiding sound doctrine as not to offend, subtle as it may be and they would deny it but it's simply true, and why fellowships will cave to homosexuality and a host of other things as we move on into the future. Avoiding confrontation by adjusting truth. It's sometimes subtle but they are absolutely houses of legalism and heavy shepherding. Free breakfasts and coffee bars hide it all so well even to fool the very leadership who makes these things up so they may boast in our flesh.

"A pastors conference of more than 10,000 pastors" Suckers.

We need to know who we serve and speak with Him daily. Girding our loins in truth, the first thing to put on. That girdle or belt is what all the other body armor snapped, clipped or tied into to stay stable. First thing, greet our maker when we awake. The creator of all things. Revive me Lord according to thy truth, thy word is truth. Psalm 119 is fantastic, a few verses at a time.

I've read it.  It is always good to hear from others and I'm sure many like to share what they like about the Bible or what it means to them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
