I'm not very comfortable reading something off a screen. I do it short term, but nothing like reading the Bible.
Guest BacKaran
I enjoy my Bibles, highlighting and writing notes in the margin... They are like an old friend.?

Maybe I am from the "romantic" generation, I love to read a real book, i.e. with candlelight, instead reading from a screen. It's not that I never read digitally, but my favour is more at paper books Greetings, Rik

ATM, my Nkjv study Bible has both front and back  hard covers missing, and the first page of Genisis gone...!

I also like listening at times too. if you use the kindle software on you tablet you can turn the pages electronically

I have several freeware Bible study programs, my favorite being e-Sword. I have literally thousands of modules for e-Sword, most being free. First, I can make the font whatever size I want, and I can take an entire library with me on a laptop, I-Phone, or I-Pad. My library includes a nice variety of Bible translations, dictionaries, commentaries, books, and articles. Searches in numerous categories are very powerful and quick. Only the newer materials under copyright involve fees (royalties). I find that the best materials are usually older and free.

On the Android side of things, I believe MySword Bible is a comparable app.

As for me, I have both paper and ink Bibles, as I enjoy the smell associated with reading a Bible, and like the weight in my hands; and then I look quotes up on screen as I admit that's an easy way to get hold of God's word, especially when posting. What do you do? Â I prefer both. When I am really trying to understand a particular topic or preparing some notes for Bible study or so on, I prefer going online. I can do so many things easily. Searching with keywords, interlinear, refer to multiple translations and so on. When I am just doing personal reading, prefer old textbook style Bible. And in Church, definitely prefer physical Bible. Using phone is quite distracting. I end up checking emails or Whatsapp instead of just reading Bible.
