I guess I will need to go back and read this entire thread. I only read the OP's comments and then responded. I'm not understanding your response here. Sorry.

I'm just making a statement to clear up what these two scriptures are saying, because you along with others also is touching and making agreement for the Lords Sabbath Issue beginning on a Friday at evening/7th. day, until ending on Saturday/7th. day, but not Sunday. Or like you have said that you might have to read the whole thread to get the context of the OP.

This is like  a round robin ? - never ending - on this forum,  because there are so many people (most people) go along with tradition,  and neither side here ever, or hardly ever,  changes their mind.

You are correct with the above statement.

I studied the history of how weekly worship moved from Saturday to Sunday and guess what? I didn't like what I found. Anti-semitism and piggybacking on a pagan day of worship- Sun-god did not sit well with me.

Im someone who believes Constantine and that Council of Nicaea may have done more harm than good. Celebrating Resuurection Day on Easter, another pagan festival. And then Christmas....lol, he wasn't even born on that day.  Oh, guess what? Another pagan festival- Saturnalia. Oy ve!

No my friend, I do a lot of personal study and discuss issues in the marketplace, but when the dust clears, it is all on me to follow my conscience in hopes of pleasing HIM. If I'm wrong, he can tell me when I get to Heaven.

THEREFORE, I keep the Sabbath Day holy and I don't celebrate Easter and Christmas on those days. We celebrate Resuurection Day on the Feast of First Fruits, and we celebrate his birthday on the Festival of Sukkot (Tabernacles).  If you want more info on either of those feasts, see Leviticus 23 (I believe).

But all of this is just me; I respect anyone who disagrees because that is your right and that is just you.

You have said well enough in the above. We do also from Leviticus 23:

Great!

But now that I'm retired, I try to make EVERY day a Day of rest, worship, reflection, and study.  It's nice not to have to work 10 hours a day.  Lol

.... "a wrench"  .... ? < perplexed wonderment >  < test by GOD'S WORD >  < AMAZING GRACE >

Notice YHWH sanctified ONE DAY.   HIMSELF.  HE made it holy, sanctified, set apart,  the very first week.

Then,  the commandment says "WORK SIX DAYS...."  ....... (almost everyone seems to conveniently forget this,  not as if "on purpose" possibly,  but because so few good teachers ever teach GOD'S WORD;  and so few read all of GOD'S WORD,  and even fewer are given understanding of GOD'S WORD)

When I got saved,  I knew (from GOD'S WORD) that I would never retire.   (not at all knowing how long YHWH may give me life on earth in this life, before the life to come) ....

The implications are staggering,  and complete difference,  in the ecclesia who realize by YHWH'S GRACE all of HIS WORD ..... just like the believers in ACTS, EPHESIANS, PHILIPPIANS,  and the ones YHWH points out in REVELATION who hold fast to HIS NAME....   the vast differences in those vs casual, social believers ....(and the completely different outcome from how they live) ......   see first of all the believers in the NEW TESTAMENT,  how they lives and the results --- most people never get the opportunity to see this....

Yes, I can understand of what you are saying to the above, I think in order to keep your salvation it is important to follow his steps, just as he have had his custom.

The

Now accept one who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions. One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.

Do not let him who eats despise him who does not eat. Do not let him who does not eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him. Who are you who judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for the Lord has power to make him stand.

One esteems one day as more important; and another one esteems every day alike. Let each one be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and the one who does not observe the day, he does not observe it to the Lord. The one who eats, he eats to the Lord; since he gives thanks to God. And the one who does not eat, he does not eat to the Lord, and gives thanks to God.

For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

For it is written, "'As I live,' says the Lord, 'to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.'" So then each one of us will give account of himself to God. Romans 14:1-12 (New Heart English Bible)

Jews

The people of Israel must keep the Sabbath day by observing it from generation to generation. This is a covenant obligation for all time. Exodus 31:15 (New Living Translation)

For Sure

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. Leviticus 23:39 (American King James Version)

Salvation Is From Faith

We know that whatever is in Moses' Teachings applies to everyone under their influence, and no one can say a thing. The whole world is brought under the judgment of God. Not one person can have God's approval by following Moses' Teachings. Moses' Teachings show what sin is.

Now, the way to receive God's approval has been made plain in a way other than Moses' Teachings. Moses' Teachings and the Prophets tell us this. Everyone who believes has God's approval through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no difference between people. Because all people have sinned, they have fallen short of God's glory. They receive God's approval freely by an act of his kindness through the price Christ Jesus paid to set us free [from sin]. God showed that Christ is the throne of mercy where God's approval is given through faith in Christ's blood. In his patience God waited to deal with sins committed in the past. 26He waited so that he could display his approval at the present time. This shows that he is a God of justice, a God who approves of people who believe in Jesus.

So, do we have anything to brag about? Bragging has been eliminated. On what basis was it eliminated? On the basis of our own efforts? No, indeed! Rather, it is eliminated on the basis of faith. We conclude that a person has God's approval by faith, not by his own efforts. Is God only the God of the Jews? Isn't he also the God of people who are not Jewish? Certainly, he is, since it is the same God who approves circumcised people by faith and uncircumcised people through this same faith.

Are we abolishing Moses' Teachings by this faith? That's unthinkable! Rather, we are supporting Moses' Teachings. Romans 3:19-31 (GOD'S WORD® Translation)

In Jesus Alone

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. John 5:24 (New American Standard Bible)

Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160 (King James Bible)

The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.

Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.

It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed.

Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully.  It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure.

It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

Beloved,

He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, Luke 4:16 (New International Version)

Even On The Holy Sabbath

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. Revelation 1:5-6 (New International Version)

We Follow His Steps

One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!

But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day. “There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd. “Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.”

But the Lord replied, “You hypocrites! Each of you works on the Sabbath day! Don’t you untie your ox or your donkey from its stall on the Sabbath and lead it out for water? This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?”

This shamed his enemies, but all the people rejoiced at the wonderful things he did. Luke 13:10-17 (New Living Translation)

And Work

It happened after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them, and asking them questions. All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. When they saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us this way? Look, your father and I were anxiously looking for you." He said to them, "Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be doing the works of my Father?" They did not understand the saying which he spoke to them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. Luke 2:46-51 (New Heart English Bible)
