I have to agree that "4 corners of the earth" was a metaphor, it's not meant literally.

Pretty much, because the only way to make the Bible say the earth is flat, is to take scripture out of context and twist it so bad its not even recognize able.

Hey Gary?   If you don't mind could you answer the questions I presented in my OP.  I am interested in what you have to say.  I totally understand if you don't want to though.

I was inspired to start a new thread only because I do find interest in the topic.   Often times there will be certain segments of people that will say the Earth is flat. I don't ascribe to this thinking but would like to hear from those that think this is a possibility.  I do have something to ask though.  When looking at the sun and the moon, we see sphere shaped objects.  Why would Earth be different?  Is it also your belief that the sun and moon revolve around the Earth.  I have also heard this with those that believe in a flat earth.  Admins, I'm unsure if this post will be moved because it is slightly controversial.  But then again it would have been controversial to say the earth was a sphere at one point.  So maybe this is just a general discussion now...LOL

all of the flat earth people that I know think so because of the verbiage that the Bible uses to describe the earth.....   according to Dr. Michael Hiser, if you take the bible literally in the Hebrew language one would think the earth was flat.    He does go on to explain why it is that way but that isn't a discussion I would get into with you...
