After sometime away and trying to change how I respond to people on here, I have come to an understanding about this place. I enjoy that we can freely debate God's word and our believes here. I think it causes us to look at what we believe and why we believe it.  Are we simply holding to a believe because that was what we have been taught? Or do we really know the true reason why something is right or wrong? Anyway I am fine with all of that and think it is great that we do that. Even if we never convince anyone to change their mind. Because I think that a lot of times it is ourselves who come to a greater understanding of our believes when our believes are brought into question.

With that said the issue I am having here is this.  Accusing someone you don't agree with of being a pagan. Or accusing them of not believing in the Bible or not believing that the Bible is the true word of God because they get a different meaning out of a verse then you do.(I've gotten that one a lot from people here) That is the sort of thing that makes just want to back things in and leave. None of us should never get to a point in our Christian walk where we think we are all knowing. I do sometimes lay in bed at night and think to myself "are the people I am disagreeing with on Worthy right? Could what I think about this topic be wrong?"  I think it is good for us to do that sometimes. There have been things that I felt one way about at a time in my life. But as I grew in Christ I changed how I felt about some of those things. So anyway I guess what I am saying is that I like it here and I like what goes on here. I think it is good for my growth in Christ. But I don't like they "your a pagan or your this or your that because you don't agree with me" that I see goes on. I myself am guilty of doing such things I am sure. So I will try to keep myself in checked also from here on out. Thank you and God Bless! :emot-heartbeat:

LadyKay.......I am new to Worthy and i feel we should be more polite with what we believe and stop being so cruel and judgmental. Some of the responses and the rudeness just makes my jaw drop. I think we should always keep our comments or suggestions or beliefs in check, and as the age old saying goes What Would Jesus Do????  I agree with you here sister.......let everything we do and say b with a heart of love in Christ......God Bless!!

And what did JESUS' disciples, JESUS' followers do  ?   Thay had assemblies where the wicked were not allowed to attend.   Keep seeking God's Kingdom and the people who live as HIS WORD says to.  Those assemblies are a life-giving blessing from and thru JESUS.

I have found when people are weak in their ability to back up what they are saying with scripture, they begin to attack the person they are in the discussion with.  This is why the ToS clearly states "Debate the subject, not the person. It is possible to disagree about a doctrine or subject under discussion without insulting the person with whom you are debating. Also remember that the fact that a person disagrees with you does not mean they are attacking you as a person. Respect each other in the love of God!"

If we approach an issue to bring forth what scripture says, and not to try and change another persons belief, we do not take things personal.

This is the way to go.  Present your beliefs with Scripture and leave it at that. It is a rare individual who will frankly admit that they are wrong.  And those who promote false doctrine generally get more and more entrenched in their errors than the opposite.

We all should be looking to be formed from the perfection In His Word and nothing else.... after all we have His Promise

Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)

[11] For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. [12] Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. [13] You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

John 5:39 (ESV)

[39] You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,

If we don't let the Scriptures lead us... How shall we know our Lord?

We do know right from wrong because the Holy Bible is our instruction book in life. We can't control people and make them change their mind. All we can do is post the literal true word of God and plant a seed. God takes over from there. It is against the TOS to tell someone that they are not a Christian. I know I have gotten caught in that. We can tell someone that what they are posting in not Biblical and I think that God would want us to make sure someone knows the Biblical truth and not stumble and fall on false doctrine. Remember we will all be judged for everything that we do in these bodies while we are on earth. And that goes for how we have ministered to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and also the unbelievers. I think we need to be as respectful and gracious as we possibly can in debating with those on Worthy. We need to pray to God and ask Him to show us the truth, His truth and to give us discernment. Everyone has a choice to embrace the true meaning of Scripture. If someone is reluctant to do so then we pray for them. That is between them and God. God has it covered. :)

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

James 3:5-10

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.

See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
