Read the whole passage in context.  An angel of the Lord had just delivered Peter from prison.  It departed from him when they walked down a road.   Peter goes to the house of Mary where they were having a prayer meeting.  Rhoda recognizes Peter's voice and in her excitement she fails to open the door but go tell the others, who didn't believe it was really Peter.  So they first said she was mad and then claimed it was an angel.  v. 16 Peter is still knocking and finally they let him in, and he tells them the whole story.

It was Peter knocking, not some angel.   Acts 12:5-17

Does acts 12:15 talk about guardian angels?

I understand that your question is about quardian Angels.

Yes they are quardian Angels, and we see that in the story of Peter how the Angel took him out from prison.

But they are many questions within questions.

Was this Angel a quardian Angel assign  to Peter within the meaning of been with him all the time to protect him.

(Angels have many different assignments and missions)

In this specific situation with Peter, did the Angel came only to assist Peter or the Angel was with Peter all the time.

How would someone know, we do not have specific details , we just have what the writer said , that the Angel went to the prison, how he got Peter out, how walked with Peter and how the Angel became invisible to Peter.

Keep in mind that the writer is not a wittnes to these events , only Peter is. But he must have interviewed people who were closed to Peter.

The story is gredible, not just because we want it to be gredible, and not only considering Peter's character, but also looking at how the Authorities dealed with the Guards,

(they may have been severely punished, and I have to look in their time, how they deal with those situations, even to be able to give a speculative opinion)

We can not tell, whether or not the Angel was with Peter during the time of his arrest, or earlier than that.

But we know that later when the Angel and Peter were walking together, suddenly the Angel went another way and was invinsible to Peter.

That tell us only one thing, that the Angel was invisible to Peter.

So Peter can not say what happened to the Angel.

Peter can not say that the Angel left, only that he can not see the Angel anymore.

The Angel could still be with Peter, or minding Peter's bessisnes .

That doesn't mean that the Angel did not guide or help Peter, even without Peter been consious of his presence.

There are questions as to why JESUS did not prevent Peter's arrest, or why he did not help James in the same way, he help Peter with.

The friends and close family of James who was beheaded earlier by the same people who arrested Peter, could have a grievance as to why JESUS did not help them, the same way he helped Peter.

Going to when the maiden went to answer the Knock at the door.

We have to look at the reactions of the People who were gather in the room.

To begin with James was just beheaded a few days earlier,

(the same group of people must have prayed earlier for James, and quite possibly Peter was with them, but we know what happened, and then Peter was arrested, and he was just waiting for his execution).

The faithful in that room, perhaps were of the mind that Peter was executed , or his excecution was so imminent , that when the maiden told them that she recognized Peter's voice, and perhaps she asked at the knocking on the door, "who is this", means she responded to knocking on the door.

The faithful been very sorrowful, they did not analyze what the maiden was telling them.

The knocking and the conversation that took place between the maiden and Peter, that proves that it was Peter, and he was still alive.

Overcome with their afflictions, thought that Peter was executed already and that his spirit came to visit them.

That's what they ment by saying "Peter's Angel", but believing Peter was dead, they thought his spirit or Peter came to see them, before going to Heaven.

From what I know , yes we have Angels to our help, for our protection and many other situations.

I can not say all the time as absolute for everyone,

But as with Peter we see he came and went.

Does not mean that this was the last time an Angel helped Peter.

Yes there Devils and there Angels, and the all want to have a piece of us.

Anyway JESUS knows , one way or another, how to protect us.

God bless

PS

We don't need all the time JESUS to protect us, by resisting evil we are protecting our selfs, and the devil can only go that far with us.

And he can not go with us to Heaven, only we bothered from him, and from our self while we are here on earth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
