The Identity of the Antichrist, the Two Beasts of Revelation, and the Whore of Babylon

This study goes over who the first beast and second beast of Revelation are in relation to the book of Daniel and history. Also goes over who the prostitute of Babylon is, who the antichrist was and is, and what the final kingdom before the coming of Jesus Christ will be.

Daniel's prophecy left off with Antiochus IV and does not begin again until the coming of the 70th week decreed [Daniel 11:21-35 ..... 11:36-45]

There are no prophetic scriptures in the Bible for the 2000 + year period that we are currently in

When the Lord is ready He will instigate the 70th week and beyond

Five of the kingdoms of the Middle East have fallen and there are two more coming .... first the smaller 6th, and then the 7th .... both of these will take place during the 70th week still pending

The 6th will be a smaller kingdom which will be extended into the 7th .... the kingdom of Daniel 7:7, 8:9-25; 11:36-45

This kingdom will be ruled over by the beast who will come out of the abyss .... Abaddon/Apollyon [Revelation 9:11]

This beast has ruled 5 in the past and will come out of the abyss to rule there again during the 70th week

This beast will become the 8th king ruling over his 7th kingdom [head] during the second half of the 70th week decreed for Israel

There is a lot of truth in what you say:

The eight kingdoms are:

Egypt

Assyria

Babylon

Persia

Greece

Rome -united

Rome -divided (Constantinople/Rome)

Rome - ten horns - new capital little horn (Israel)

 

The second beast with the two tiny horns represents a kingdom with religious authority over much of earth , run by two tiny kingdoms. I believe this is also Constantinople/Rome. More specifically the Islamic Caliphate in Istanbul and the Vatican in Rome that have widespread religious and political power.

 

The woman specifically represents Europe and its religious capital , Rome.

Roman Catholic theologians have admitted the Rome is Babylon of prophecy.

Protestant interpreters maintain, while Roman Catholic interpreters admit, that the Babylon of the Apocalypse is Rome.

Cardinal Bellarmine says: “Rome is signified in the Apocalypse by the name of Babylon.“

Cardinal Baronius says: “All persons confess that Rome is denoted by the name Babylon in the Apocalypse of John.”

A top Apologist for the Roman Catholic Church, Karl Keating, emphatically states:

“Babylon is a code word for Rome. It is used that way six times in the last book of the Bible” [four of the 6-times used, are in chapters 17-18 and in extra-biblical works such as Sibylling Oracles (5, 159f), the Apocalypse of Baruch (ii, 1), and 4 Esdras (3:1).

Revered Cardinal Gibbons of the Roman Catholic Church states:

“The penetration of the religion of Babylon became so general and well known that Rome was called the New Babylon” – Faith of our fathers 1917 ed. Cardinal Gibbons, p. 106

Revered Cardinal Newman of the Roman Catholic Church admits in his book that;

the “temples, incense, oil lamps, votive offerings, holy water, Holidays, seasons of devotion, processions, blessings of the fields, sacerdotal vestments, the tonsure (of priests, monks, nuns), images, and statues… are all of PAGAN ORIGIN” – The Development of the Christian Religion Cardinal Newman p.359

Augustine of the Roman Catholic Church in his book “The city of God” which is based on the Apocalypse, defines two societies in the world;

the harlot city of Babylon, which is empowered by Satan through the Roman beast; and the Bride of Christ, the New Jerusalem, which is empowered by Christ.

Augustine, a Catholic, proclaimed Rome as Babylon;

 

Scripture teaches us that the mark of the beast in not 666? This is the "number of the beast" and not his mark, as is stated in Revelation 13:16-18. 

 

verse 16, And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

verse 17, And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

verse 18, Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred Threescore and Six.

There will be three things men will have a choice of taking in the days of the Antichrist, the Mark of the Antichrist, his Name or the number of his name. What the Antichrists name and mark will be is not stated in Scripture but the number of his name is and it is stated as being 666. Therefore, no man can now know his name or his mark and will never be able to know them until the Antichrist comes after the rapture of the Church.

The First Beast is the Little Horn of Daniel 7 and 8. The Second Religious Beast is not specifically mentioned in Daniel, to my knowledge. He only becomes a Beast when he conquers Israel. Just like all the Seven Heads of the Beast do (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome and the Little Horn/Anti-Christ who in turn becomes a BEAST. 

The Harlot is All False Religion of all time. She is JUDGED (Destroyed) in Rev. 17:16. 

The Anti-Christ/Little Horn is the MAN who is destined to be Ruler/Dictator at the END, and Conquers Israel, to become the LAST BEAST of the Seven Headed Beast.

The Final Kingdom is told to us in Daniel 7. The Little Horn arises out of the Fourth Beasts Head (so its a European Power). In Daniel 8 we are told he arises out of one of the four Generals who stood up for Alexander the Great. Thus Macedonia is in Europe so he is a Macedonian who arises to power in the E.U.

Islam and all Religions will be destroyed. Islam is FALSE RELIGION, a big part of the Harlot. It will be DESTROYED.

Babylon is the Government side of the Harlot who rides the Beast.

Babylon is Destroyed By Gods Plagues and finally by Jesus Christ at Armageddon. Jesus does away with the Nations that come against Israel Rev. 16:19.

The Harlot = False Religion.........She rides the Seven Headed Beast.....which is False Governance....God destroys these Governments we are told in Daniel 2, the Rock (Jesus) that was cut out of the Mountain crushes/smashes the Statue of Governments.

In Daniel the image in Nebuchadnezza dream it has only 4 empires prior to the Rock smashing it to pieces, the Rock being Jesus. The last great ruling empire was the Roman, which remains till the very end mixed with clay but still there. There is only 4  empires prior to Jesus next coming.

Just about all or if not all the reformers pin pointed the beast in Revelation, as the Papacy & it stands to reason, as the ceaser's handed over power to the papacy & iron is in the image to the very end it has to be some aspect of Rome.  

The Roman empire consisted of 10 countries to make up the Empire 3 of which were totally destroyed its in the history books, that leaves 7.

The later images of the beasts are clearly defined as the same empires as that of the dream. Then comes the little horn form up AMONGST them. where were were they, who was in power? Rome.So the power comes up in Europe out of the controlling Roman empire being the papacy it was different from the rest. Sorry I'v been rushing & I have to go.

This is why there is a strong trend towards partial preterism at the moment. The more historical views see these verses fulfilled in ancient Rome, and therefore the Pope does not have to face that the scriptures STILL point to Rome as a source of evil.

All Bible timelines are contiguous. 

 

That includes the 70 years of Jeremiah referenced in Daniel 9:1-5.

That includes the 70 weeks of years in Daniel 9 (490 years) that point to the coming  of the Messiah.

That includes the 1260 years of dark ages (day for year) in Daniel 7, Rev 11, Rev 12, Rev 13.

That includes the 2300 years (day for year) in Daniel 8

The Lord was killed at the ending of the 69th week

The 70th week is still to come [Revelation 6:12-17] ... a period of 2520 days + 30 days

It says the Lord will put an end to sacrifices in the (middle of the week, Daniel 9:27)the end of sacrifice was Jesus crucifixion, leaving 3 1/2 years to complete the week.  The next 3 1/2 years the gospel only went to the Jews, after their rejecting of the gospel & the stoning of Steven 3 1/2 years later which completed the week,  the gospel went to the gentiles.  God bless
