Aside from appointing Gorsuch, what has Trump actually done?

Will Little Marco et al out-trump Trump? It's just not his style.

He and other young republican politicians like him are going have to figure out a way to do something that is different from the previous template. I can't imagine another republican primary full of jeb bush policy wonk types, which is the sort of guys rubio would've eventually probably beaten. His politics aren't much different from theirs. The neocon macro is probably finished in the republican party in the long-term. The party threw up two right-moderate, foreign policy hawk candidates in a row and got schellacked both times in presidential elections. I'm not sure it's possible to become president anymore running solely on the republican platform from the 90s through trump's takeover, which is what a lot of the guys like rubio represent in the minds of people. They are going to have to change or just be happy with being incumbent senators and congressmen due to local popularity, which may eventually go away itself if enough changes.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump held his final campaign rally at 1am on election day November 8th, 2016 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

At the end of his final speech candidate Trump said this –

Just imagine what our country could accomplish if we started working together as one people, under one God, saluting one American flag.  I’m asking you to dream big because with your vote we are just hours away from the change you’ve been waiting for your entire life.  So to every parent who dreams for their child and to every child who dreams for their future I say these words to you tonight.  I am with you.  I will fight for you and I will win for you.  I promise.

To all Americans tonight in all of our cities and in all of our towns, I pledge to you one more time. Together we will make American wealthy again.  We will make America strong again. We will make America safe again and we will make America great again!

President Trump started off as aggressive as any President ever in working for the American people as he promised.  Now as President Trump’s first 100 days in office come to an end, here is a complete list of his accomplishments and his resulting impact on the economy and world affairs in this very short period of time:

The US Stock Markets are at record highs and millions of Americans are benefitting in their retirement savings accounts.

* The DOW daily closing stock market average rose more than 15% since the election on November 8th.  (On November 9th the DOW closed at 18,332 – on March 1st the DOW closed at 21,115).
* Since the Inauguration on January 20th the DOW rose 6.5%.  (It was at 19,827 at January 20th and reached 21,115 on March 1st.)
* The DOW took just 66 days to climb from 19,000 to above 21,000, the fastest 2,000 point run ever.  The DOW closed above 19,000 for the first time on November 22nd and closed above 21,000 on March 1st.
* The DOW closed above 20,000 on January 25th and the March 1st rally matched the fastest-ever 1,000 point increase in the DOW at 24 days.
* The US Stock Market gained $2 trillion in wealth since Trump was elected!
* The S&P 500 broke $20 Trillion for the first time in its history.
* In the history of the DOW, going back to January 1901, the DOW record for most continuous closing high trading days was set in January of 1987 when Ronald Reagan was President. The DOW set closing highs an amazing 12 times in a row that month.  On February 28th President Trump matched President Reagan when the DOW reached a new high for its 12th day in a row!

President Trump decreased the US Debt in his first 100 days by $100 Billion.  (President Obama increased the US debt in his first 100 days by more than $560 Billion.)

The US Manufacturing Index soared to a 33 year high in this period which were the best numbers since 1983 under President Reagan.

President Trump added 298,000 jobs in his first month alone (after President Obama said jobs were not coming back!).

Housing sales are red-hot.  In 2011, houses for sale were on the market an average 84 days. This year, it’s just 45 days.

Illegal immigration is down 67% since President Trump’s Inauguration.

NATO announced Allied spending is up $10 Billion because of President Trump.

After being nominated by President Trump, Constitutionalist Judge Neil Gorsuch was confirmed and sworn in as  Supreme Court Justice in early April.

The President has signed 66 executive orders, memoranda and proclamations as of April 19th, including:

* Notifying Congress of a strike on Syria after it was reported that the country used gas on its citizens.
* Dismantling Obama’s climate change initiatives.
* Travel bans for individuals from a select number of countries embroiled in terrorist atrocities.
* Enforcing regulatory reform.
* Protecting Law enforcement.
* Mandating for every new regulation to eliminate two.
* Defeating ISIS.
* Rebuilding the military.
* Building a border wall.
* Cutting funding for sanctuary cities.
* Approving pipelines.
* Reducing regulations on manufacturers.
* Placing a hiring freeze on federal employees.
* Exiting the US from the TPP.

In addition to all this, the President has met with many foreign leaders from across the globe including Xi from China, Abe from Japan, etc.

The President also pointed out numerous times that the MSM (Main Stream Media) reports only on a made up Russia conspiracy story and ignores these accomplishments.  These actions are making the majority of Americans aware of the tremendous bias in the media in the US and abroad.  This too is another major Trump accomplishment.

Winning, Winning, Winning!

Why would he chase his tail ? Thats really silly considering the FACTS that we know with Mueller who isnt going to head that council . He will have to recuse himself for conflict of interests. Trump doesnt chase his tail. Trump gets things done! Liberals are chasing their tails. WINNING!!

I think they both are still the only candidates who could have elected the other.

In 2012, Romney lost the electoral college to Obama.  I always ask people - in discussions like this - what states that Romney lost do you think a Kasich, Cruz, Bush or Rubio could have taken?  The latter two MAY have taken Florida, but that wouldn't have been enough.

I'm open to opinions.  But I think - with the possible exception of Florida - the answer is zero.

I also believe - contrary to popular opinion - that Sanders would have lost to Trump as well.  I think he would have done worse than Hillary. In fact, I think he would have lost to a Kasich, Rubio, or a Bush as well.  The country just isn't quite ready for Socialism (it will be when the Millenials mature, though)

Cruz - I'm not so sure about.  The media would have trashed Cruz to no end.  Sanders might have beaten him.

The dark horse that dems COULD have run that would have beaten the whole field? Joe Biden.  He's as liberal as Hillary, but he's likable and doesn't come with the baggage she carries.

Blessings,

-Ed

That [McCain would be proud] is not exactly a glowing endorsement.

You're exactly right - I didn't mean it to be.  The GOPe (of which McCain is a charter member, except when he's trashing other republicans) is as much a part of the problem as is the democrats.

The DNC is not going to dry up and blow away.  That is not my position.  Look, the GOP is in constant party mode right now, and that can't last forever.  I find myself hoping they will get it together, but history tells me they will not.  The GOP can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory every time and they will mess up the opportunity they have right now to actually do some good stuff, just like they always do.  They are The Amazing Party Without A Spine.  But the DNC never figures out what their problems are because they are completely unable to take personal responsibility for any failure on their part.  It's always someone else's fault.

I agree with what you are saying about both parties, and yet like clockwork they keep getting voted back into power because we only have to viable choices.

Quote

It's one thing to act smugly superior in covert ways you don't think the voters are really smart enough to understand.  But I will say it again.  You don't get good voting results by insulting the voters.  America got told they were a bunch of backward, hateful, racist idiots if they didn't vote for Hillary and then the DNC is surprised when she loses.  As flawed as she was, after 8 years of Obama, Hillary should have been a shoe-in, but she lost to Trump.

Not once in the history of our country has a different Dem replaced a 2 term Dem in the White House.  Hillary had not only the distinction of not actually campaigning and being the most corrupt candidate in history, but she had history itself working against her.  And she still won the popular vote.  I think it would be a mistake for the Repubs to take things for granted.  Though I hope they do, the worst thing that can happen is for one party to hold all 3 seats of power.

Among my friends, they are all feeling that Trump is being treated unfairly by the media, and they don't believe anything they hear.  I have spent time showing them how the media spins things, and giving them real examples of editing, focusing only on negative things from Republicans, explaining base line budgeting and how Democrats call smaller increases cuts, and how Democrats will call across the board tax cuts breaks for the rich.  My side has been effective in exposing the media and the left, and that has made a huge difference.  Now that they have been exposed, nobody trust the spin anymore.

Both parties call smaller increases cuts, so you are not really exposing the whole truth in that area.  You basically just added your own spin to the information.

"Across the board" tax cuts are never really that.  Both parties hose the middle class when it comes to tax cuts.  But then again both parties want a smaller middle class, they want people moving either up or down, but in the middle they are too unpredictable to be counted on for votes or financial support.

 but Trump did something too.  He had the guts to call out the media and the "fake news."  Once that happened, people were forced to start examining them.

The problem is that people are only examining one side or the other, the fail to understand that both sides of the divide put out fake news on a regular basis.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
