At my church I've never seen the laying on of hands, just group prayer. Like what was previously said, some people don't like to be touched, especially by people they are not real familiar with. Then there's all the clergy hanky panky going on.

We form a chain.  Laying your hand on the person next to you who then has their hand on the person asking for prayer. It is very interesting to learn how other churches do things. I would not like that at all....nope

I am so glade they stop doing that. I'm not really a people person and too many of them freak me out! When invited to a party if I go, I sit in the corner and talk to the dog. Unless they don't have a dog. Then I just look silly.

Especially during flu season.

Oh my cross dressing and cross gender is of darkness. I sure hope it gets not allowed in churches. Though I do hear some churches are fast approving it.

We always have a time for prayer request, and a time for praise. When something is an urgent need, or someone feels led, some gather around and lay hands on whoever is in front of us, towards the one prayed for. No one is asked or forced, its whoever is led. Ladies have their own bible class. In the worship service, I have never seen laying on hands, only praying, whosoever will. Same on mid week, whosoever will, but not laying on hands. That is usually done in a more closed off area, taken more seriously, more private. With the exception of the pastor and his wife, or an elder couple, I also would not want a man laying on hands on my wife. For the protection of both. The bible encourages the laying on of hands.  1Ti_4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Sounds like we're both a bit introverted.
