Ahhh, but He promised not to again. The covenant of the rainbow.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes, I agree that he promised not to destroy the world again by flood... but there is an upcoming destruction of the world by fire, as is written in 2 Peter 3:10,

But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

If the Lord is slow in kindling his anger against mankind, I would say it's because He has His own appointed time, which no one knows of, by the way, in which He will make a DEFINITE end of the wickedness... of that we can be 100% sure.

I agree, but are you all so ready for Him to bring about his destruction now?

Don't think there will be too many people who will be ready for that day and the destruction thereof. I certainly wouldn't want to wish it upon anyone, even my worst enemy. All I am saying is that if it is written in the Bible that the world will be destroyed by fire.. I believe it will be, just as it was previously destroyed by a flood, saving only 8 at that time. On the other hand, I am READY and WAITING anxiously for Jesus to return to this earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. So as Christians, awaiting the arrival of our Lord... we shall rejoice at His coming and the end of the wickedness.

Here is a question to ponder,

If 3/4 of this worlds people are non-christian , homosexuality is spreading through out the world even to hold a 10 day whatever it is in the city of Jerusalem , 35000 pagans gather in the desert to experience HELL , sin is at an all time high and even christian churches are moving away from the word, Why does GOD allow this to continue to happen. In the bible it tells of god hand cleansing first the world then two cities. What is he waiting for?

well, my brother in law has switched from being a atheist to agnostic as far as I can tell....... maybe the Lord is giving him the chance to find the Lord. I am sure there are many in the same situation.

I think if it were not for the belief of a pre trib rapture there would be less people ready for the end to come. I gotta tell you that I'm not looking forward to loosing my head over some mark on my hand, but......

Question: Are you proposing that more people come to Christ because they believe they will be raptured before the tribulation and that fewer would come to Christ if they knew they were going to have to live during the tribulation? Or, are you suggesting that believers are more excited about the return of Christ because they believe they will be raptured out prior to the tribulation? But, they would not be looking forward to the return of Christ if they knew they would have to live through the tribulation? Either way, doesn't that sound rather self-serving to you? What happened to being crucified with Christ and wanting to know Christ and the fellowship of his suffering, becoming like him in his death?

Do you know that the fastest growing churches (through conversions) are not in the USA? They are in countries where people know they are signing their own death warrants when they accept Christ. They are the most on fire Christians for God because they know what it means to die to their old lives and to walk in newness of life. Do you know how the church in the USA is fairing by comparison? I don't have the statistics in front of me, but I know that churches in the USA are closing their doors left and right on a daily basis because the churches are dead, but not dead in a good way. They lack the life of the Holy Spirit, because they never died to the flesh. Maybe if the church in the USA started believing in Post-trib rapture of the church, that we would get off our cans and start telling people about Jesus and start living holy lives. The Bible teaches us that we are to be ready to suffer for Christ. We are to take up our cross daily.

What I am seeing, instead, as a general rule among our churches in the USA is easy beliefism, meaning we tell people that all they have to do is "believe," but we don't really explain to them what that means. We just tell them that all they have to do is pray a simple prayer and they basically have their ticket into heaven, and then to add to that, we tell them that the church will be raptured before the tribulation, so basically Christianity is easy street. It is like ordering a McDonald's hamburger - quick and easy and inexpensive. Yes, Jesus paid the price, but we forget that we have a price to pay, too, which is we have to die to our old lives and be reborn. We have to repent and turn from our sin and turn to God. We need to be crucified with Christ and we need to be ready to suffer for his sake. To me, that's the mark of true Christianity. Anyone can "believe" in something that has no down side and only benefits, hey, even the demons believe and they shudder.

Sorry, got on my soapbox here, but this really troubles me. I believe truly that is why God is going to judge the USA beginning with our churches, because we have lost the "fear" of God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
