Welcome Fam,

My curiosity was sparked when reading the Book of Genesis about the beginnings of creation itself. Within the first chapter, most notably the ending of it, the Bible reads, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beast of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground -everything that has the breath of life in it -I give every green plant for food." -Genesis 1:29-30 NIV

With this small portion of knowledge, it can be noted that mankind was constructed to be overseers of Earth, but also noting that our only source of food was that of the trees, bushes, plants, and all the was considered vegetation. Giving the norm that mankind was once only vegan and vegan alone. I am more than sure the same rules applied to the beast and animals that roamed the earth at the time, but my question here is not whether or not we we're, but if we should in todays day and age. Moreover, I would love to hear if anyone agrees with my statement above, I will certainly love everyones opinion on this subject.

Continuing on this matter, is why give us the need of food? In other words, why did God make us in his image, but with the ability of eating daily to survive? In this sense, we we're victims of starvation, right? And if that implies, then why create something that needs to be refueled? What is the hidden purpose of this?

There is much more to discuss here but I rather leave it to that to have a conversation start, for as my mind is baffled on such interesting topics. Feel free to express yourself on the notion and hope to hear from many of you.

-J.D.

Genesis 9:3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

God told noah we could eat meat.

Our design is for meats and vegetation, unlike  herbivores we have teeth designed for both meats  and vegetation. We are Omnivores. Our digestive system is not that of a ruminant. Neither do we have the intestinal system of a carnivore. Omivores may eat whatever does not eat them first.

Carnivores cannot eat vegetation for they are not made  to digest it.

Herbivores are not made to eat meat for they do not have upper incisors, plus their molars are designed flat for grinding.

Omnivores have both teeth  and digestive systems designed to handle most any material  they can tear into small enough pieces to swallow and they are made with molars sufficient for smashing vegetation into digestible material.

I'd say God foreknew and predestined all creatures, as well as history itself, and so He has made all things the way He has to serve His good purpose.  Just as he has for all that he has called the elect, His own.

Did God not know of the fall  before it happened? Is God not sovereign over all things?

Could not God create many creatures the way He did, and whenever  he has, for his own reasons?

Has  God not created some creatures that can only consume (Eat chew digest) meats? Whoa, when did He create them? After the fall of mankind?

Can an alligator eat grass? Can a cow eat deer? Why can a man eat grass, cows, alligators, and most anything that doesn't eat him first?

I think it is because God has known from before the beginning, and that which He has foreknown He also has predestined; however I do wonder about the common housefly. Why the fly, before the fall, really?

Why any critter that breeds and births on dead things? When did God create them?

Because God gave me cows to eat, and I am lactose intolerant and cannot utilize them for milk.

ps - Why vegan in heaven, will I eat anything but feasts on the word of God?

Fair enough. As for me I like cheese and ice cream too much to be vegan. But I lost my taste for meat a long time ago.

Be vegan as can be and the flesh still dies. But; not to worry the worst day of a Christian's life is also the best day, for it is a "Hello Lord God Jesus" day. In the meantime enjoy a good chunk of cow  now and again as can be afforded. And pass the   Worcestershire Sauce this way please, thanks.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
