I believe that people are mislead by things that are called magic, I do not follow those that are practicing those arts....

I do play with slight of hand from time to time, as a teaching tool, and to have fun with the kids ( actually had a friend of mines kids cell phone for close to an hour before they realized it was even missing and they handed it to me....)

as far as calling it magic, no, we do not, a trick is a trick. and what we some call magic, some of it is of the supernatural....

so, actually, there is no such thing as magic. deceite, lies, and such, but not magic.

we do have the Power given us thru the Holy Spirit to be used in the performance of miricles and such, but not magic.....

Do christians believe in Magic?

The occult arts are off limits. They are sinful, according to the Word of God. Therefore we are to avoid all participation or contact with such things.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No....and all forms of magic is satanic. A person opens the door for the devil,

to come into their life.

LOVE and PEACE to everyone, :emot-hug:

Do CHristians believe in witchcraft? I don't know. It depends upon who you ask. Many could just say that it is fake and obviousl ycouldn't exist, and other could go to the bible and show how the bible talks about magic, witchcraft,. wizardry and automatically say it exists.

However, what i do know is that it is wrong and the bible specifically says so.

1Sa 15:23 For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.

Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

Deu 18:12 For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

To piggy-back on this post: Magic is only another word for deciet. We see it in entertainment, and in life practice, the enemy uses it as like food to Pavlov's dogs. In other words, magic is only the string of the deciever to manipulate those it entraps. Sadly, it exists. Many stories I have heard of people claiming to be experts in witchcraft and other foolishness. And naught has any good come of it.

I aknowledge the existence of evil, and I know from the Bible that we christian are at war with the forces of evil which oppose God,Jesus, theHoly Spirit..our warfare is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual enemies of GOD,Who anyway IS THE WINNERand grants victoryto His children thanks to JESUS CHRIST and THE HOLY SPIRIT POWER.

Magic exists, but while I acknowledge it I don't believe in it,I BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST and HIS GOSPEL and so I oppose evil, and I hate the "spiritual enemies" of God,i.e.satan,his fallen angels, demons, and the sort, but I don't hate those that practise the magic arts( as they call them) but I rather pray for their deliverance because Jesus died to save sinners, the lost ones, and magic is SIN and anything that is not of FAITH( HOLY FAITH IN GOD) is SIN and sin kills human beings...may our great Lord Jesus Christ save more and more until He comes back and put an end to this diabolical sistem in which we live and inagurates His righteous kingdom of Love and Freedom from sin and death.

Guess what? HE IS COMING BACK SOON..sooner than we all think and it is going to be GREAT!

SHALOM and MARANATHA and GLORY and HONOUR and POWER to THE FATHER SON and HOLY GHOST for EVER and EVER ,Amen!

I may believe in magic depending on what type of magic it is.

One of the main differences between the two (magic and the miraculous) is that 'magic' is done at our will, whereas a miracle is performed at God's behest.  Many people confuse the two because they both seem extraordinary to us.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Agreed. That's one difference since each part of magic, or what some people call magic, is loosely based on the miraculous.

seances ~ prayer groups

fortune telling ~ prophecy

familiar spirits ~ guardian angels

And that's only a few examples. There are those who will argue that the two are the same, but there're not. One is a construction of man while the other is of God.

However, the big main difference between the two is that those who believe in magic are connected to the belief of heretic gods or demons. This seems to be the cornerstone to all the deceit, lies, superstition, etc. that magic brings. Smash the cornerstone, and everything else about magic will fall like a house of cards.

I don't know about water divining,

but I do know that cloud seeding is 100% scientific.

Please don't mix science with magic! Scientist don't like magic.

(In fact, several scientists work at debunking magic. :) )

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
