Why do they and why does the Spirit/God allow it?

Does the Spirit temporarily leave? The fruit of the Spirit doesn't include hate/anger/bitterness.

"And they that are [belong to] Christ's have crucified [put to death] the flesh [corrupt nature] with the affections and lusts." (Galatians 5:24)

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour [protest], and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all [any form of] malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)

Yahweh is patient with us kids. He winks at so much we are not even aware of.

Even on this site I have been insulted and had personal (not thematic) rebuttals. The mods overlook some people's out and out rudeness and behavior. Sad really, so the world out there - our playing field - sees us largely as overblown bigots that do not mind destroying our brothers and sisters in order to 'be correct'.

I see very little humor and gentleness in much of what is leveled at me, and know who to follow if I want to see a fight. Some appear to roam about just looking to nit-pick or disprove something for sport. They claim they are upright and correct and that we all need them to police our thoughts.

What this boils down to is that there is so little discussion and exchange of ideas. It just ends up as the 'few' browbeating the rest to silence. This does not gain us anything at all, except pain.

Romans 7: 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. 15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.

Romans 7:21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

No the Spirit never leaves us. But that doesnt mean we are perfect and totally free from sin or the inclination to commit sin. Nowhere in the bible does it ever suggest that we dont ever sin at all or like you say, get angry or hateful or whatever.

I can only answer from personal experience.

So why do you get personal by saying my answer was not up to your standards?

Instead of suggestions, you dominate by statements that to you are fact, but to others may just be conjecture.

In fact, your nit-picking response adequately supports my original observations that all most people want to do is put down others and criticize.

See you are doing it again. That wasnt answering MLS's question about Christians in general.

I do see your point(s). I am a little ahead of what you expect here. How may I answer about Christians in general?

I am one person and to answer thus would have been in a vacuum. Or spitting into the wind.

So to demonstrate and elucidate at the same time requires interaction. Remember, this is a hypothetical experience we are engaged in.

I.e. we have the benchmarks of the Spiritual attributes. We then have a discussion and points put forward, either pleasantly, or not quite so kindly. Then the observers - the millions of people that are our witnesses plus the heavenly host - can observe if indeed the good spiritual attributes that are demonstrated. Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering etc.

One person once told me, human first Christian second.

Proverbs chapter 10 verse 12

Love covers all wrongs.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
