How should a Christian expose the works of darkness?

Not by delving into the works of darkness and becoming experts in evil: Satanic rituals and symbols, Free Masonry, strange gods and demons, astrology and other pagan practices, etc.

No, Christians expose the works of darkness for what they are by standing in contrast to them by their ways in Christ. (Or at least we should.)

Don't become experts in evil and expose yourself to demonic assault by delving into things that God is not pleased for you to be delving into, or risk being chastened by the Lord for doing this. Rather, become wise in your God and expose what is not of Him by embodying and bearing witness to what He is.

Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible... (Ephesians 5:8-13 ESV)

...As He is so also are we in this world. (1 John 4:17 ESV)

The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. (1 John 3:1 ESV)

Alas, this is not happening as it should be. Well we know the Scriptures about standing in contrast to the world by our lives in Christ Jesus and being salt and light in the world, but are they honestly true of us personally, or are they merely memorized and recited? How much contrast is there between the conduct and attitudes of unsaved people described in Romans 1:29-32 and the conduct and attitudes of apostate Christians described in 2 Timothy 3:1-5?

Many of us have strayed from our God by choosing ourselves rather than Him and by not keeping His word as we ought to, so we hardly stand in contrast to a world which is darker than ever before. The darker the world is, the more brightly Christians should shine in it, in contrast to it. So why don't we?

Return to your God, people of God, lest your Light be removed for neglect and rebellion, and you be left in darkness and not know it.

God didn't light us to blend in with the darkness and have a comfortable and easy life in this world for being compromising and spiritually lazy. Keep in step with the Spirit and do not quench Him; choose to die to yourself and to obey the Lord, daily, so that Jesus can shine through you, becoming brighter and brighter---that God may be glorified in you, before men and at all times, as He deserves and expects to be.

We win the lost by preaching the gospel and walking as Did HE.

Overcome evil by doing good , not by hugging and partaking of that evil.

The Goodness of GOD leads to repentance

the goodness of GOD does not lead to the acceptance of sinful natures and desires .

When the church should have remained the example of Christ to the world and fished with the fishing poil of HIS SPIRIT and the bait HIS WORDS

but they traded that in for the worlds fishing pole and means on how to win the lost .    but if we fishing for wordly men with a wordly pole and wordly bait

Beware for the fish you catch will SPOIL the basket and at its end the whole lot get cast out  .

Yes, we are here to preach truth. And God willing they will repent and come to the Lord. The flesh does not want it, obviously, that is why I said: God willing!

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." - John 1:12-13

If they remain in unbelief... Well, at least the seed of truth is already there, and God may use to try to convince them that the flesh profits nothing and leads only to death.

Glory to God! Amen.

Light,,,,,,    for the general Christian population I would not disagree,  but there does need to be a group that understands what these people are and what they are doing....    I get the feeling that you don't really have an idea as to how difficult it is to break away from the dark side.    I would not recommend people go through what I have been through, but it puts me into a position to help folks who really are not looking for help....

Astrology: the study that assumes and attempts to interpret the influence of the heavenly bodies on human affairs.

Astronomy: the science that deals with the material universe beyond the earth's atmosphere.

I think you have the two mixed up.

Chapter 12 has some, a person needs to know basic astrology to understand some of revelations, because the author used the celestial.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
