Should Christians own "Dream-Catchers?"

one should not have to rid their house of dream catchers any more than one should burn one's car keys....   that's the point I've been making since my first post on the thread.

The problem with dream catchers is that they are made for a reason Christian people don’t understand. They are something mystical. We must not have them. Why put yourself open to dark things you don’t understand???

YES .   but once that same piece of wood is carved into an image idol .  its then an idol .    And a dream catcher is made for the purpose OF

It aint just the materials its made of ,  ITS a dream catcher now .      If you wouldn't have an idol of BUDDA in your house ,  WHY a dream catcher .

We all know wood is wood , iron is iron , brass is brass .  BUT ONCE its made into an object of ...........................WHY ON EARTH would we have one .

BIG TIME DOOPED .   it means GOD gave you the delsuions of your heart and allowed no bad dreams .      THINK it cant happen .     BUT IT DOES .

GOD will give folks over to the idols of their heart .     THAT IS SUPER SCARY , and its not what no emergent would dare say , BUT IS TRUE .

Having one in your home, in your car, etc is the same as a Christian having a pagan altar in your home because it is the purpose of the thing is that defines it. The argument that keeps being used in this thread is that we can somehow separate the purpose and meaning of a thing from the object itself and that is logical fallacy imo .  It's like a person arguing saying  THEY look at pornography as "art" therefore it is not obscene or pornographic  or a sin to them nor a doorway to fall into deeper sexual sin. That is called justification and self-deception imo.

When a Christian brings in paraphernalia from another religious customs they are paying homage to & putting up a calling card of the deceitful spirits that are behind these pagan spiritual legends.  There are "spirits" behind any spiritual or religious belief and if it is not the Holy Spirit it is a fallen deceiving spirit.   As they always do to deceive mankind, the deceiving spirits / fallen angels posed as benevolent helpful <nature spirits in the case of indigenous people>  &  inspired the shamans i.e. their religious high priests of their  Indigenous tribes of this false spirituality with false stories of creation.  It is the Shamans through sorcery & witchcraft ( the native high priests or medicine people some tribes call them)  who were the ones who made contact with demons through various means , who then act as a go between between these fallen evil spirits to then teach people through these legends--- the doctrines of demons.   

Only the one true LORD GOD & His son Jesus Christ who is given all power and authority in heaven and upon the earth has the power to protect us & this is who we should turn to.  The Holy Spirit will not share any place with darkness. I'd recommend your friend get rid of the dreamcatcher  ask God for forgiveness & remove the double-mindedness from them, asking only to be protected and guided by the LORD GOD through Jesus Christ our Savior & blessed Lord, and His Holy Spirit.    
 

Thanks for all your effort in explaining this to me.  I totally agree with you!  I tried to advise my friend to get rid of them, but because she said that she had prayed over it, she thought it was okay to have them.  She said she has always liked the look of them and appreciates them as a "piece of art" on her wall.  When someone has made up their minds about something...it's very hard to make them see otherwise - we can only pray for them!  Thanks again, much appreciated.

No .   What I am saying is that once a christain is TOLD what it is ,  THEY should then get rid of it .     Some folks do or buy things like that

having no idea what it is or means .  BUT once a Christian finds out ,   ITS THEN they should simply say ,   OH ,  thanks for letting me know that ,  I will throw it out .

Sojourner ,   man that pic has got to go .    I mean we aint running an ad for oxi ,   and frankly that picture could scare the zits of a teen .

Get a pic of a cross ,  or maybe a sunset or a river .   But that one it could scare the light outta day
