In Latin the word for pebble is calculus. Likewise in Greek there is a connection with handling pebbles and counting. The counting, calculating, or computing the number of the beast which is the number of a man and apparently the number of his name to arrive at 666 is the directive for those with understanding, and is advisable since the use of that number in a man's name as a mark to verify commercial admissibity is distinctly forbidden of those who belong to Christ. A triangle with one pebble at the apex and successive increases down to 36 at the base will have a total of 666 pebbles. Pebbles used for counting were smooth and involved contact. Business matters and verifications and admissions were managed using pebbles so there is a strong case that advanced technology will be involved in the future enforcement of economic measures by "that Wicked" and the system that he controls, I believe.
