Very nice a whale of a good time too!

Yeah I too was taught to assume the shot before getting to position to take it. Assume, preset speed and aperature turn the focus prior to getting into position then just point and shoot.  I used to practice by shooting and developing  three to four rolls a day. Ha what a geezer, "rolls"!  That's rolls of film for the young that do not know of film.

Yep, I first saw that kind of work way back when we bought my son a MAC and a laser printer for art college use.  Cost over seven grand back then. He created pictures from his mind's eye. I marveled at the new game in town. Now, a small investment in a tablet and wow what one can do!

I need to point out, that we all agreed to abide by Worthy's terms of service when we joined. One of those terms was this:

No Plagiarism. You must have permission to post copyrighted material. When you do have permission, all due attribution is to be posted as well.

Many if not most pictures that you will find on the web are copyrighted. The do not have to say that they are in order for that to be the case. In fact, in the United States where I am, and where this site is hosted, the original creator of writing, photos, and other things own his/her creation, and is protected by law, whether or not their works are registered with the copyright office.

If you upload pictures, that you are not the creator of, and you do this without the permission of the copyright holder, then you are legally guilty of the theft of intelectual property, and are in fact violating the law, and therefore violating Romans 13, which says in part:

1Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

In lite of all this, we ask that you keep this in mind, before you break the law, and make Worthy your partner in crime. Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm or fun, but I need to ask you to do the right thing. So before you post pictures, or words or songs or videos or poetry, blueprints, cartoons, etc, etc., get permission from the legal owner. Thanks for reading this.

Have you done this for pictures?
How do you go about it?
I have searched and still cannot get answers.
Certain uses without permission is said to be permissible by some agencies.
It appears getting the pic owner is almost impossible.
I have posted hundreds of google pics, as have most here.
This is the first time I have seen this warning here. Or anywhere.
You tell us what not to do.
Please help us know what we can do.
And how to do it.

Thank you Omegaman.

A few of you often put pretty pictures to go with your posts.   Just want to thank all of you for taking the time to do this.   I especially enjoyed the cats!   Also, enjoy Enoob's humorous pics!

Maybe someone can explain how you add the pics into your posts?   And where you find your pictures?   Thanks.

And making special mention, to Neighbor's truck and auto selections, also other one's nature, and Americana pics are very meaningful as well. Really great job, all! Thanks for taking the time to share. If only I still had my scanner, a few from my collection might be pleasing enough t0 post. Oh well. It's gone, never to be returned. However, again thanks. God bless!

Shalom,

David/BeauJangles
