I believe the three horns it subdued represent Syria, Jordan, and Egypt which were soundly defeated in 1967 for possession of the seven hilled city of Jerusalem. I believe this little horn (israel and it government) will persecute the saints in Israel for 42 months(a time, times, and a half)prior to Christ coming. I disagree that Daniel was talking about a king of Israel. The entire chapter has been the "King of the North" vs the "king of the South." On the other hand, I can't think of any other scripture where the Beast of Rev. 13 was called a King.
