Is this okay? or should tithes strictly go to church? what do you think?

Tithes was given to the levit as crop n animal, it was never money, we hv no rights to it even to change it into money.

You are honouring God with what he has given you. No all Christian giving should NOT go only to a church, any church one attends should present annual accounts, and explain why/how large payments were made and any large payments should always be voted on by the membership. Pastor needs a car hold a members meeting to discuss it and a secret ballot to decide yes or no.

What does it matter what others think is what I think. Read up within the Bible on gifts, sacrifices, giving, and compassion, for yourself. Pray, think, read again, and then do as you feel led . Do not seek the recognition nor the approving nod of other members of the body of Christ, for doing that will only end up putting you on a guilt trip of rules others have set for themselves to tell yet others to be doing. Do your own work on this one.

In fact, if you read in the Bible about tithing, the church dose not even collect the tithe in the manner it is lay out in the Bible to do. It was never suppose to be about money. But about livestock and food you grow. But I do not tell others what they should do. If God has directed you to give 10% of what you earn to the church, then you should do so. But only because God directed you to do so. Not because you think you are under the law of tithing. As for would it be okay to buy clothes, food ect for someone? You should pray about this. Take some time and pray and see how God directs you.
