I'm at the other end of the scale to you and people tend to to take the older folk like me, with a grain of salt and consider them over the hill or have lost a few marbles and in their dotage and your posts get ignored, but that is not true. I still have all my faculties and my mind is as sharp as it was forty years ago.

Well for the record, I'm right between the two of you. Y'all know what I learned? I learned to listen to wisdom regardless of the condition or age of the vessel. I have heard profound words of wisdom spoken from the most unlikely sources. Eric brother, I think what you speak of is exactly what is wrong with our society today. Today, people generally believe that they know all there is to know and ignore the counsel of the wise. It just does not make any sense. Me? I covet wisdom from all sources whether it be a young person OR a experienced, weathered ole' salt like yourself.

May the Lord Bless you richly,

Wayne

Never ever underestimate the little nuggets of wisdom that you will find in a young childs or teens words. If we could all listen with our hearts and not let a sterotype mindsetting get in the way...you would be thrilled with how many insightful thoughts that kids have.

Fact of the matter is...even with the teens that speak harshly at first and go on and on about mundane issues are wanting you to listen...listen to them, let them know you are listening...they are treading the waters so to speak to see if you take them seriously...when they realize your not going snub what they say, and your open to discuss it you'll be amazed at the thoughts that are going through their minds...and how the demeanor changes and how you will see a loving kid looking for an ear to hear.

I guess this has a little to do with thread...its a personal experience...and a few teens whom the teachers and etc...said were horrible and worthless...turned out to be very sweet when I took the time to hear them.

Tess your a very insightful and wisdom filled young lady...your posts are always wonderful...and don't worry about sticking your foot in it everyday...I've done that for years  Your heart is in the right place...God knows that :emot-fail:

Love and Blessings,

Angel

Tess,

Thank you for posting this and God Bless you on your journey. I have teenage kids so I see teens alot. I praise God when I come here and am able to see teens who are diligently seeking the Lord and the truth in His word. So many teens I see put no effort in this search that you and others here are on. You and the others are truly refreshing to me, truly a blessing.

I'm bumping this because I think it might benefit some people who have been posting in the Parents Forum.

I personally haven't got a clue how old most of the people here are. The proof of valid conversation is in the conversation itself. There are some crusty old people here who would rather call you every name in the book rather than say something uplifting or edifying. I'm glad to see someone here who cares enough to want to clarify their position

I'm closing in on 50 and I have come up with some cheap conversation myself and I think anybody can fall into that trap at any age. :P

Tess, I sincerely hope I have never treated you with anything but the respect you deserve, if I have failed you please accept my humble apologies!

You seem to be extremely articulate and well versed in everything you post and I have never worried about your age when reading anything you've written.

Please stay the course, do your best to ignore those that slight you because of your age, lean on those that love and delight in your presence here!

God bless and keep you!

Dear Tess,

I'm so impressed by your wisdom and love for the Lord, its so special knowing you're 16 years old and the world is tugging at you!

There is so much temptation around us and expessially if you're 16.

Know that the Lord is guiding you and His word is a light on your path.

He will never disappoint you...and He will shine His light through you.

You're very refreshing and I love you girlie!! <_<

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
