WARNING fraudulent Social Security calls

I received a fraudulent Social Security call this morning. This caller said that their was a fraudulent transaction in my name. The caller told me immediately to call this number 1-866-894-4552. I called Social Security and they told me there are many fraudulent calls going out of people claiming to be Social Security. They said to not call the number back. They will never call you and tell you their has been a faudulent claim. Social Security said to never ever give them any information. You then need to call your local Social Security office and report the fraudulent call. 

 

It is a serious FBI federal offense.

I have it on fairly good authority that there are upwards of 26,000 calls per day originating in the EU and African nations.

I always talk with the guy he calls homself Jeff in India that wants to sell me extended warranty in my old cars...   seems to be just a nice guy making a living...   and he is ligit.  He really does sell a policy but not for vehicles with over 150 thousand miles on them.  He still calls me when the computer gets back around to me....

  Is married with two kids...   just a family getting along.

With a few clicks of your mouse you can get a free number online. Just do a search for 'free phone number'. Use DuckDuckGo if you do not want a bunch of phone adverts suddenly popping up.

You do not replace your number, you just use an app to dial or text using the new number. I have three and can call anywhere in the USA even though I am in the UK. You can even choose the prefix code so you can be seen to be in a particular area in the US.

If you have wi-fi this costs you no data charges.

I believe it. If I get fifty calls a week, possibly ONE is legit.
My forty year land line ph# must have been passed around for scammers .com training.
Going to switch to new # via internet, $45 one time up front for box, then about $12 monthly state/fed taxes.
I'd give a hundred dollars to get a certain one late nite caller/spammer ph #, to leave him a personal  message...
