National guard, Arizona??

I talked with my elderly uncle in Phoenix yesterday.   He couldn't find much in the grocery store.

He said they were thinking of having the National Guard drive trucks with groceries to the stores.   The stores can't keep up with things he said.

Anyone hear about this?

So there is work available even now  for anyone with a CDC license, or perhaps if States waive CDC driving license rules.

Went shopping yesterday, lots of food, good prices, regular weekly sales offers too. There was an empty space beside the canned beans next to the rice, and regular milk was out -would not be in for a few hours yet. I just bought the specialty milk that I like anyway. Full produce selection and nice quality at regular seasonal prices. Just a few shoppers in the store. Lots of spray sanitizer in use by staff. Went to the car dealer had my car serviced, a few people were looking at new cars. The beach is full of young people, kids are out of school so they are congregating playing on the side streets in the shade of the ok trees.

Chik-fil-a was so busy  we took a pass on eating that and  went home with our many full grocery bags,- cooked up some chili dogs.

 I don't know what this fiasco is about. Maybe it is a dress rehearsal for an event to come, who knows*. But it is seeming the virus is no big deal. Healthy people can get sick, sickly ones can die. What's new about that? Why the panic and the saying over and over.

* Seems to have made us all better prepared for delivery interruptions, and has made for a test of what might happen in a major war type disruption. But what is this present "plan" about? Our President has even shifted his terminology toward using the word war and being  war time President. He and  the whole country (State governors) are testing out executive orders by the tens and maybe by the hundreds as though we are at war. Are we right now "prepared in place" for just such a declaration and action? Is much of the "free world" now set?

 

ps- If I remember correctly the  National Guards are under individual States governor's leadership, unless nationalized  by the US federal government. So any State including Arizona could have it's Governor call up any  of it's own components of the Guard at any time. As a kid in greater Boston actually Watertown I once lived under Marshall law and curfew with the State Militia enforcing it.

Come to think of it, the Grocer's produce manager was on the floor helping stock , almost all the people in the store were staff stocking shelves and mostly taking  breaks, chatting with each other in the aisles. I think there were less then 10 customers, no line at all at check out. The produce manager is a talker- said people are nuts, stocking up  buying things they don't usually  buy in volume. He said we have plenty of food,  trucks are delivering, 

 We bought our usual lamb, beef cuts burgers and so on without any problem- Oh no calves liver, but that is not unusual. That always goes fast, just had beef liver, -even had cashews  on sale two for one! Lots of two fors. I bought some fruit cups  on sale that way. I used up our milk that was about to become dated, made pancakes and waffles,- Storing the waffles to drop in the toaster this morning.  Ah maple syrup  the stor eonly had dark maple not light premium left. Again that is not unusual either. Hard for me to resist maple syrup so I ate the pancakes, calling them dessert.

 I even went to the bank, and just to check it out I asked to go inside to my safe deposit box,  no problem- they tended to my request letting me in for that. I drove through and picked up some small amount of cash too, just to see, and yes all is okay.

 I do think this "emergency" is about to end in a very few days. with some new laws passed, the sheep sheared in the stock market the government owning stock in companies that they want to own and have some influence over. Plus the big money will have sold high and bought back in low.

 The poor on the plantation will get maybe $1200 and think  wow thank God for big government. The sheared sheep, all they can do is;" baaa baaa, I'm kinda chilly how about you?"

There are very few reports of this disease coming from Russia. The Russians and Arabs are driving the oil market down, taking losses to produce in order to crush American suppliers of crude. Our USA President Trump says he is buying crude to fill up our strategic reserves. and then sell it later or use it for national emergencies and military needs. President Nixon sold off all the country's reserves many decades ago  during the government take over during his presidency. Remember wage and price control?

Anyway, buying cheap  oil provides a monetary resource to use in order to later fund what is borrowed today  to pay  out of work Americans, including the 1700 oil workers just laid off in Texas fracking operations. With fracking stopped for now the greens will not have much to jump up and down about come this fall's elections.

May not all be planned by mankind, but it may all fit the plan for the nations by God. As we used  to say way back when Disney sold rides individually at it's parks - Looks like an E-ticket ride to me.

Get on the people walker,  we are going for the real bumpy ride ahead. See if you can ride arms raised in the air letting go of the safety rail and cheer on. For we are secure regardless!

    Probably because we do know that much worse than covid19 will be coming one day,to a neighborhood near......

Anyway,with anything that is novel,untreatable & incurable by modern medicine is what the fiasco is about.....not that influenza is any better but we do have vaccinations to prevent it    Its very hard to say because there just isn't enough data Many people keep looking at the"numbers" which is absurd but that is the medias fault,we cannot even begin to do any calculations until.....well,by then it'll pretty much be over              just sayin

As a former military man, this poses some unique problems and defies isolation and quarantine. Our military is a uniformed close knit service; standing close in formations and close contact with each other. They billet and sleep in close quarters, mess together, shower & shave together, etc. Just by this brief description, one can see how easily the spread of a virus or contagion would occur. If this were a deadly pandemic with high percentage death rates for everyone; would this be a good idea to mobilize the troops?

Again, as a former active Army soldier, Reservist and National Guardsmen in my career, I've thought of this. A moral, legal and philosophical question pertaining to reserve soldiers, their contracts, responsibilities, oaths and pledges; where their loyalty and priority lie?

If a full fledged and deadly pestilence erupts; with all the chaos occurring, food shortages, hospitals overwhelmed, sickness, riots, crime and civil unrest breaks out everywhere. Does the National Guardsman leave and abandon his spouse and children, to fend on their own and make due by themselves? With a 1-15 day contagious infection before symptoms occur; what about when that troop returns home [will he / she be tested prior to discharge?]

Personally, I see my priorities as; God first - family - country, in that order. 

I would suspect if this thing worsens, muster percentages might be weak?

I am very favorably impressed with the presentations  on numbers and the making of plans by New York State's governor. Listened again this morning. Found myself praying that he is being listened to  by the federal government's bureaucracies.  

He states he needs 30,000 ventilators now. FEMA is sending 400, and the Feds are holding onto 20,000.

He also made a great sounding way to get people back to work as it is now believed many thousands have already had the virus and  should get back to work now. They can be tested, found to have the antibodies that show  they will not get sick, so go to work now! Seemed like lots of excellent statistics at work with brilliant thinking to me.

A soldier asks for his family's approval before going to serve his country a this country's command? I don't remember that being the case  for my family members. Seems to me it was go or find yourself jailed at least, and maybe even shot.

I tend to agree with you.

Some years ago there was a"another" virus and President Macron declared mandatory "vaccination" for all French citizens, ...in France and all of it's colonies, ...it didn't work, many refused including myself.

Now we have the "entire" World media "creating" hysteria and pandemonium telling us it's a "pandemic," and with this "scare" tactic working, ...the masses are falling in line like sheep to the slaughter.

Yes it is a "dress rehearsal," ...for what we read in the Word, ...and many will follow the Beast and the Anti-Christ!

Over the weekend Macron said there will be a "mandatory" injection of the vaccine for the virus, ...and included in the shot will be a "chip," ...for all French citizens!

Jesus said, "when you see these things," ...we've been "seeing" the physical "things" He was talking about for a decade or two, ...but what we are "seeing" today is the curtain has been pulled back and we see the stage has be set, all of the "props" are in place, and it's just about "SHOWTIME," ...the "only" thing stopping the production is, ...the "Restrainer," His Church, is still in/on the planet...

Be comforted with what we are witnessing, ...Jesus told us the generation that "sees" the fig tree bud, ...we are "that" generation, the fig tree is the national symbol of the nation of Israel, and Israel was "born again" as a nation on May 18, 1948, ...reality is we are witnessing that, ...but on top of that we are "witnessing" the world being "prepared" for accepting the AC, ...that's a double whammie, ...we are witnessing the nation of Israel becoming a world power in just over 70 years, we are "witnessing" the players of the Eze 38 prophecy all in place on the borders of Israel, ...and we can "see" the stage is set, the world is ready to "accept" the AC...

...so look up brothers and sisters, ...we are going home real soon!

Anyway  we have th egood privilege of knowing our God is sovereign over this too,  and we are secure in our hope. it being certain  by Jesus.
