The kingdom of heaven is not found in any church buildings but in the hearts that forgive n share happiness. Its useless to speak a lot of verses   if we don't hv the kingdom of God in our hearts.

I mean bad things have been happening for 2000 years. Remember six million jews were murdered.  Yet the lord says occupy.  We are to do his will and work for Jesus till he comes.

this is actually a very good thing :)  It's a matter of whose perspective we choose to view it from.  And where our loyalties lie.

How is this a good thing ? God can make some good come out of anything. But it's a sad thing.

well, if He told us to "look up" when we see these things beginning, there must be a way to understand it is a good thing....His coming is drawing nigh.  He did not tell us to look up and be depressed.....

He was talking about the heavenly signs. He called pestilence sorrows. If you see people die of this virus and with tubes down there lungs you can not rejoice.

I would never encourage anyone to rejoice over someone's death.  But death is stalking this land...and the whole world.  And some here now will not be much longer.  But there is a reason a loving God is allowing this.  And understanding what that reason is, seeing this from HIS perspective and what He will achieve through it, gives plenty of reason to rejoice.   Understanding the battle field also gives understanding of how to fight in such a way that as many as possible are snatched out of harm's way as is possible.

Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy, not Jesus....He's coming to eliminate theft, destruction and murder.

We rejoice in what God makes good. But sorry no rejoice for coronavirus.  I rejoice in God. If you die from this I would not rejoice.

Sorry friend, your title and your thread are a total "turn off" for me.

My father was a boxer and when he was mad, angry at me he always threatened me with "putting on" his gloves and "boxing" me!

Because of that I had a extremely hard time "relating" to God as a "father;" ...but He loves me, ...understands me and my personality and my problems, ....and is faithful, ...I now "know" my Heavenly Father and He is "nothing" like you portray Him.

You mentioned the "prodigal" son, ...but you didn't talk about his loving father that was watching, waiting for his return and because of his great love for his son when he saw him a long way off didn't wait for him to knock on the door, ..oh no, ...he "ran" to greet, take him in his arms and "love on" his son.

That portrays the Heavenly Father that has His arms around me.

Yes, Father is "shaking" the world and yes some of his children are being shaken by it as they watch their house of cards falling down, ...but all that is necessary is to "believe" in their hearts what He has told them in His Word and they will see they are "firmly" planted, standing on the Rock that cannot be shaken, ...just like our own children when they did something foolish and put their lives in danger, ...but when we had them in our arms again all we could do is sob in relief and hold them tight and our love for them flowed out of our hearts to them in an unspoken manner and and way, ...they "knew" we loved them and they would say on their own, without any provocation..., "I'm sorry daddy."

Why not post threads that are uplifting, encouraging, comforting, filled with God's Agape Love for His children, ...why not teach from His Word rather than some book written by man?

My I humbly suggest, in the Love of Christ, the advice I learned from my mother, "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar."

Lord bless

Father can mean Creator. In fact, Jesus (preincarnate) is our Creator (John 1:1-3 /  Colossians 1:13-16 / Isaiah 44:24).

The one we call the Heavenly Father is the Creator of the body of Jesus (Hebrews 1:5 / Hebrews 10:5 / John 1:14).  Only Jesus is his one true Son (creation in body).

The Spirit of Jesus (God the Word) is equal to the one we call the Heavenly Father. (Just to assure everyone this is not some underhanded attempt to undeify Jesus).

We are children of the Heavenly Father through adoption (Romans 8:15).  And he loves us unlike any Earthly parent ever could:

John 16:27 (AV)
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

John 3:35 (AV)
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

God will judge. God has judged, but it is not a thing he delights in.
Best not to put him to the test.  God is a merciful God, a gracious God
ever trying to deliver humanity from sin and the consequences of sin.
Even in the Law and in the Old Testament God repeatedly gives mercy
and grace to mankind.

He could have washed his hands of the whole thing in Genesis 3, but he didn't.
God will judge. God has judged. But the longer I live the more I see people weaponize
the Bible and even God far more than he ever intended it.
God is love.
Love can be tough. True love is tough. But it's intent and purpose is OUR benefit.
How many times the LORD has bent over backwards to show this to us!

Love him.

Trust him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
