Substitutionary atonement is rarely talked about. It is BLOOD shed that gives atonement.

Blessings John

I've heard you say "repent" in just about every discussion you've joined-it's fine, you certainly can say what ever you like & I'm not trying to sound snarky. Since "repent" is something you obviously would like people to do perhaps you might tell us what exactly the word "repent" means to you......

I've tried to have this discussion with you a couple of times & I even gave some examples of the difference between repentance in the Bible & "repent"as defined in the dictionary for secular peoples......so?

I'm not quite sure why you feel the need to add "and repent" to most verses of Scripture but maybe you can help me by explaining your definition of "repent"                                      With love-in Christ,Kwik

Yes, my life was transformed when the Lord led me to repent, so I encourage others to do the same.

John.....

Of course you don't have to answer me if you don't want to and in case you don't realize...you arenot answering my question.I'm sincerely happy for you that YOU were lead to repent & that's when YOUR life changed-FANTASTIC!

Now try to understand what I'm asking, what does"repent" mean to you-I  didn't ask what that has done for you, okay?

I'm Saved,I've become a New Creature in Christ Jesus...I've nothing to repent of,it's all on the Cross,it is FINISHED....My life is paradise,I am Filled with Joy,Peace & all those Wonderful Fruits of the Spirit because I am Filled with His Holy Spirit,Jesus Lives in me-what is better than that this side of Heaven?Grace ,Jesus,Blood....He DID it ALL!

Now,what does "repent" mean to you

BTW-when Jesus & John said"repent".....Jesus had not yet shed His  Blood on the cross

Also.although your life has changed for the better, what about Eternal Life.....have you repented enough?

What you have just stated, is your idea of completely  misunderstanding a verse, and you have then used this misunderstood verse to post a very strange idea that has nothing to do with the CROSS or The way a person goes to Heaven or why.   Its not even in the BIBLE what you have stated.  Not in either Testaments.  Its not even Catholic theology or Mormon, or JW, or Scientology.. Its totally your interesting theological invention., fella.

No offense intended, but, what you have described is not A Christian, and its not even related to how a person is born again.

Now, i have written you, in the last 5 days, almost a seminary course on how to be saved.  And you never have agreed with anything ive said, and usually you just ignore it, and respond with the word "repent".

---------------------------------------------------------

So, im here a lot, and i have a private message box, and as you stated that you've never had anyone explain salvation to you, since '1973, then its pretty obvious by what you just wrote, that this is a FACT as you are not understanding anything about Jesus's Cross or the Blood Atonement, even tho a few of us have tired to reach you and help you.

When you are ready to learn, and perhaps become a Christian ????????? , as nothing you have written in a week, has even suggested that you understand anything about Christianity or Faith....then there are many of us here who can show you THE WAY,, and would be honored to do so.

You have my PM box, and as i said, im here a lot.

<B><

You cannot understand Matthew 4:17 till you repent of your sin.

When the Lord leads you to repent of your sin, and you do, and your life is transformed, that pretty much is the end of the story. Walk with the Lord and live happily ever after.

John--do you believe that Jesus Christ is God Almighty Maker of heaven and earth? Do you believe that God came to earth in the flesh in the form of Jesus Christ?

I believe that Jesus Christ is God in flesh. Yes, I believe that God came to earth in the flesh in the form of Jesus Christ.

Have you been taught what it means to be born again (born from above)?

When you believe that Christ died for you. To save you. And you ask Him to be your Savior, He hears you and a remarkable thing happens. God joins you to him on the cross. God puts you 'into Christ'. So when Christ died on the cross, you died at the same time. When He rose, you rose 'In Him' and were made alive, just as He was. The old Adam in you died and you rose with a New Life. A member of a new Adam. A son of God. This is the new birth. Born again--born from above. As Jesus said, this is not a fleshly birth but a spiritual one. You nor I could have managed this. God did this for us. It is a free Gift. The gift of the Life of Christ. Along with this comes forgiveness of all sins. The blood of Christ washes away  those sins and any others. This is Grace--it is not something that we can ever manage. That is why God had to come in the flesh and die as a man--so that we don't have to. He took all of the judgement do to us on Himself. He paid the price in full. A done deal and He sealed this deal with the Holy Spirit that takes up residence in us.

He is the evidence of our salvation. Christ (the Holy Spirit) in us.

After this miracle takes place--and it is a very real and concrete thing--because of that new Life within us, we begin to 'turn from sin'--the habits that we took part in as a sinner. Repenting becomes a process after we are born again. After we are saved--by Grace. It is nothing that we deserved because we repented--the Grace that gave New Life comes first. Do you see? Repentance is strictly an act of our will before the gift of salvation. Repentance in itself cannot result in being born from above. That is something that God has to do and does--freely. Grace--unmerited favor. Can you imagine any way that you can get yourself put into Christ?

NO! Because you are only a simple human. Only God can do such things. And we very much need to be born-again, because Adam is under judgement and that judgement is death.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
