We continue to believe! We abide by faith! Faith is not a stagnant one time thing. It is a walk of agreeing with God, as we grow up into Him in all things.

You are again teaching that Faith saves.

It does not.    You are teaching that abiding in faith is Salvation,  and that is to teach that Faith is the savior, and Faith is not the savior.

God, Jesus on the Cross, and the Blood Atonement is the Savior.........not "abiding in faith".

You are not saved by "abiding", as that is teaching WORKS, and SELF EFFORT, and that is Galatians 1:8

We are Saved because we are BORN AGAIN. and kept saved for the same reason.   Its God who Saves and keeps you saved.   Its the fact of being born again that is the PROOF of Salvation.

Proof of salvation is not "good works" as these can be FAKED before PEOPLE..  But you can't fake being BORN AGAIN, as GOD is the one who Knows this, because He is the one who Caused it.

My point is simply to make sure our foundation of pressing in is faith that we are, right now at this very moment, new creatures, with no dark in us. If we do not believe that, satan will have us on a never ending  circular path that promises to lead us to holiness..

Gideon it is here you are making a mountain out of a mole hill...God has solved all these issues by our deaths..

What is all this crap to a dead man...For we are either dead in Christ or not... If we choose to grab unto our deaths in Christ by faith we will walk in newness of life...There is no gray here.,. It shall happen, we will grow into it if we keep the faith... So once again different words same truths being adhered to..

It is when one truly sees their death in Christ that all this crap that gets you all twisted up with the this’s and the that’s...

Believe by faith that you have died and your life is hid with Christ in God and your heart will rest and grow in Him and you will be a blessing to all those that have the pleasure to run across your path.,

But....with the 'or else' added in. Do what Gideon says 'or else' you lose the free Gift of eternal Life 'In Christ'

Its that 'or else' that ya gotta watch out for---always.

AN understanding of the 'Cross' and the work of the Cross clears that all up and this has been discussed with clarity, but never dealt with. Let's just ignore the Truth.

I’m sorry but the post I quoted of Gideon’s, I might have missed the “or else”...Or  it might have been in some of  his other posts, but I was not addressing them, only the post I quoted..

Be blessed as our hearts cry out after love, light, mercy and growing in Him..

Yup--I wasn't pointing you out, only taking opportunity to make a relevant statement. From the very first post of the very first thread and since then this is what he is saying. I knew exactly what this is because I am very familiar with this type of messaging.

Call it discernment, if you will. On a christian forum, such as this, all you can do is to type words and hope and pray that saints who are not grounded in Grace will be helped. The enemy is very subtle and thus--sometimes the lies are surrounded by truths.

Have a look at the early responses in the first threads.

No worries, for God is good and will perfect that which concerns us..

As I am sure, people can see in me, both a mixture of self and Christ, and that’s what I see in many here...There are those with closer personal relationships with Christ and those that are discovering the truth and the reality of this relationship... But as long as they all belong to Christ, they are His workmanship, and as scripture says, they will stand for God is able to make them stand...

Love your thoughts and the Christ I see in you..Be blessed and keep pressing into Him and great will your reward be..

Amen brother! There is in all of us what 'appears' a duality and the apprehension of what we see depends entirely on one thing and that is a 'point of view'. Do we see from an earthly point of view, or do we see from a 'heavenly' point of view. The one is carnal or perhaps more aptly 'natural' and the other is the Father's point of view.

The Father's point of view when He looks at us is to 'see' Christ and the finished work.

So, we can fix our eyes on the flesh--this earthen vessel or we can fix our eyes on the 'Heavenly'. Where the Father by 'Grace' placed us.

This is what Paul teaches. This is a miracle of 'relocation' that only God could do and it cannot be undone. The very act of dying and being reborn with eternal Life denies it. Salvation is relocation and it is "of the Father". We did nothing to earn this and likewise, we can do nothing to 'unearn' it.

Col. 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Eph. 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Col. 2:12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

Col. 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

So I guess I’m in the camp that misunderstands your intent.... But Gideon you seem to be looking for an argument with me that doesn’t exist...

For Gideon all you have put forth is just standard Christian belief....

You say at our core we are new creatures which is absolutely truth..Scripture also calls this the new birth or the Divine nature come to birth in us... Same truth different words...

Than you say the only way for the new birth to grow is by believing the promises of God so this new Divine nature can grow and be manifested outwardly so it might be seen as fruit in ones life....Which also is true... Same truth different words..

Than you say a point must be reached where we get tired of always finding another layer of sin in us... This is just another way of saying as scripture puts forth coming to the end of ourselves with the “oh wretched  man that I am” same truth different words..

Than you say there is still this yucky stuff in the exterior of us..Which again is true put forth in scripture as being freed from the body of this death.. Same truth different words..

Than you say we should stop our introspection and look outwardly to Christ..Which is put forth in scripture about forgetting about what lays behind but look forward to the high calling of God in Christ Jesus..Same truth different words...

So by whatever words you choose to use there is no argument... So keep preaching and putting forth the Gospel and the Christian life... And it will go well with your soul..

Be blessed in Him, Not me

Hello, my dear friend. Your first words took me aback.

"For Gideon all you have put forth is just standard Christian belief...."

Brother, what I am put forth is standard Christian truth, but it is far, far, from standard Christian belief. And because of this, the vast majority of the church languishes in defeat, in lukewarmness, in going through the motions. Sin still rules when temptations arise. Self prevents saints from loving God with all of their hearts, and totally blocks real love for others even approaching our love for themselves. And in all this, the response is "We have need of nothing for we have grace that allows us to stay right where we are."

There is little hunger for victory and as the darkness increases, this cannot continue. The message God has asked myself and others to share is the way to change all this, but until a heart is brought low, until we hate the fact we are not walking pleasing to God with our actions, our ears and eyes will remain blocked from receiving what God has for us.

Do you see the truth of our new creature being shared in any churches at present? Are the sheep being told they can hold up their shields of faith and not  yield to temptation? Are we taught that obedience is an actual promise of our glorious new covenant? Is there agreement with God that we must hate our own lives, our fallen natures, in order to walk in the new?

Lukewarmness and going-through-the-motions Christianity has become the flavor of the day, where holiness is never discussed because it leads to guilt, and is thought impossible this side of Heaven. We do not believe who Christ has told us we are, and instead agreed with satan's lies that we are "just sinners saved by grace.... but incapable of being set free by it".

Warnings and exhortations have been essentially excised from our Bibles,  and replaced with a grace that offers forgiveness but not freedom from committing sin, which is exactly how Jesus defined "free indeed". We are fed a never ending diet of forgiveness yet never taught that our birthright is to walk as overcomers, so we are never instructed as to HOW to see sin and disobedience defeated in our walks.

I am thoroughly confused. Perhaps you can explain.

blessings,

Gideon

My dear friend--I am at best an unfaithful servant, but the Lord has chosen to open my eyes to His simple Truth of Christ and did so when I was yet a babe. It didn't come through effort or any special grace or anything beyond what is there for all to see. I was a blank slate and hadn't been corrupted by christendoms many errors.

This stuff is not 'deeper hard to access' stuff. It is the most simple basic 'Gospel'.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
