Freedom in America was declared and fought for with a Declaration of Independence from a tyrannical government and it included these famous words, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”  We are living in a time when those liberties fought for and so long protected are being removed from the people. Jobs are being lost, businesses are being destroyed, life savings are being depleted, religious freedoms to gather and to worship are being attacked, and the freedom to work, the freedom to assemble and the freedoms to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are being removed all in the guise of the “greater good.” I too value the sanctity of human life, and feel we should do all that is in our power to prolong and to protect life, but those who seek to shame and attack some of us for being angry at the removal of liberty and freedom by telling us that we must protect life even if it means destroying more lives and our livelihood are the same people who support and promulgate the murder of millions of unborn children. Will Americans continue to sit quietly at home and watch our nation fall into ruin and the rights that so many have bled and died for be removed one by one, or will we be voices that remind the powers that be that the rights we share under God are not to be removed so that we can become a socialist nation that no longer resembles the vision of those who established this once great nation? What I see happening to our nation saddens me deeply, but it also angers me, and I pray for God’s mercy that our leaders will open their eyes and stop what they are doing so that freedom and liberty will once more be upon us.

I am with you on this @Tigger56. There is a lot more to whats going on than what people realize. The greater good is being slaughtered for the agenda of a few and the driving force is not public safety. There are other things God is telling us  to wake up to in this.

Amen brother.  Thank you for being able to see the bigger picture when so many can't or won't see beyond their own immediate circumstances.  We are trashing the the US Constitution and it's Bill of Rights as if they where the toilet paper that everyone thinks is more important today.

Freedom has to be fought for.  Once given away it is hard to regain.  Our society has already significant damage to it's founding ideals.  Some of it will be irreparable.  Once big government enters your house they become the unwanted guest that just won't leave.  The left sees this as an opportunity to make more people dependent on active socialist government, which increases their support base.  To them coronavirus is a good thing.  It will condition people to give up freedom.

Good questions. I wouldn't quarantine the healthy. I would quarantine the sick. Social distancing is fine, in restaurants they could have spaced the tables further for example instead of closing all dining rooms. Washing hands is always good. If you have a cough, etc... wearing a mask is fine. But the closing of churches, the closing of businesses wasn't the way. Most who had this virus are recovering. We see that our cure has been far more damaging than the disease itself. The precedence of the lost of freedoms will be something that will haunt our country and will not simply go away. The hype and fear mongering of the media and others has greatly distorted this virus. The harm done in our supposed remedy has and will cause lasting damages to our freedoms, our economy and to far too many lives.

Tigger, they don't know enough about this thing so they are doing what they is right to protect everyone.  I won't even go through a drive thru.  I have a friend who shops for me as she does for others.  At 67 I'm doing what they are asking me to do.  The Bible tells us in Ephesians  5:15" See ye then you walk circumspectly not as fools but as wise". I would hope no one would try and out guess this virus and not listen to what the ones on the front lines are asking us to do.  Listen and know that God is still God and that He is still in control.  There is a reason He gave all this knowledge to these people who are working so hard to find a  cure for this virus.  In the meantime they are doing what seems best for us more can survive, right now not many are surviving.  If  you  don't think closing restaurants and churches and  and other businesses is not the way,  If you have a better way, please share it with us.  Right now Im listening to the ones who are on the front lines.  I pray for them everyday and our President.  All of them need our prayers and not tearing down what they are trying to do.

You may see, I do not!  There is no we.

The sick the carrier has been unknown. There has been no way to know who is a carrier and who is not. It is still not possible. So there is a choice of trying to methodically get everyone sick or try to limit the number of sick people at any one time.

I disagree with the whole diatribe, as so called freedom was compromised long ago when individuals bought into the idea that tracking devices are a great thing, as I do want the whereabouts of my phone my car and my computer known and I will gladly pay  for the app that tells me that information.  It has been game over for some timenow. And here comes 5G with it's tremendously increased capacity to handle it all.  And yes by all means, put in the device that shares how fast I drive, how quickly I brake ,so I can get cheaper auto insurance-good idea. I'll even happily install it myself. Cameras are everywhere, facial recognition is here today.

It has been game over for a long time, no virus needed. might as well focus on the joy  that is to be found in our Lord without worry about the intrusions of this era being placed upon everyone everywhere.

Those who are unhealthy or on up in age if they feel uncomfortable should avoid contact with the masses. But I am 63 and I'm living my life. Our church has been worshiping via on line, but no more. We are going back to church. Have you not seen where they are fining and arresting Christians for worshiping at church. Not acceptable and not in accordance to what our Lord expects or desires!

I thought this was Worthy Christian Forum.

You seem to be worshipping a country and ideology and  trying to pit Christian brothers and sisters against one another if they don’t agree with your views about America, which has never been truly free. You can’t find an  extreme political website to post this on? Why bring conspiracy theories to a Christian website where people are looking for truth and maybe even a refuge from what is going on?

There are many people who won’t “wake up” in America today because of this virus. They have passed away. The government is simply trying to stop more people from passing away. Should we be paying attention and making sure they don’t use this crisis to later advance some political agendas? Yes. But to add even more anxiety to an already distressing situation by suggesting that all of this is about  government abusing its power with some hidden agenda in mind is just making matters worse.

Sorry, obviously doesn't include you, as the "we" meant those who see the dangers and the harms of the decisions being made by our government at this time in regards to this virus. I do agree that freedoms have systematically been removed but not at the high rate as we are seeing it now.

You also misunderstand me, you mentioned "without worry". I don't "worry" about the lost of freedoms, I will rather share my views about the dangers and about the errors being made. I also have written to my Governor on numerous occasions now concerning this as well as to my senator. If all Americans would start doing so, if all Christians would start doing so, maybe along with our prayers mercy from the Lord can be seen. I accept the will of the Lord and know that harder times are coming, but I also believe in a harvest of mercy and a great revival. and I do not believe that a Christian must be a door mat and be silent when wrongs are committed. We must lift our voices to the Lord and to all who will hear.

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
