NO we don't wish ill on anyone ...opinions were asked and in my OPINION  he should resign for both breaking the law on several different occasions and for lying about it

If you don't want to know peoples opinions don't ask

He did not break the law. He did not infect anyone else. His boss Boris Johnson is satisfied with his account of what happened. Friends like Boris and Gove are strong and staunch. Not afraid to defend him. The baying mobs can do as they wish. The man did not break any laws.

I am glad Boris has put his foot down and said everyone must move on to much more important pressing matters. Not dwell on persecuting Cummings.

I am disappointed in the lack of compassion and hardness of heart all around. Hysteria.

Look at the 1000s who have been and are increasingly breaking lockdown rules for silly petty reasons.

As I said you are also entitled to your opinion and if your opinion is that a birthday jaunt for his wife whilst illegally driving to " test his eyes " when the law says if you suspect your eyesight is not up to the required standard you should NOT drive and after all he needed to drive to a local beauty spot as he didn't have enough room on his parents farm to drive or the common sense to do a real test without endangering others !   As for the 1000s who also break the rules there will undoubtable more after his disregard and no I don't condone them either but they were NOT the ones in a position to help make the rules that are being broken By your reasoning since 1000s commit crimes every day such as stealing it is ok if I help myself to whatever I want since others are doing it :emot-fail:

It is NOT the stupidity of driving in a car with a sick person and a child in order to keep a child " safe " :24: that I feel he should resign or be sacked for ( although others lower down in the pecking order have been without a word of protest here from you ) it is the constant LIES that are being proven by his own admissions BUT as I said you are entitled to your opinion as am I

Not many people outside the UK know or care who he is and

(Sorry that I am only quoting part of your sentence)

I am not in Britain..and was not sure who exactly he was.. but in recent days the issue has often been on sky news international.. and possibly also sometimes on BBC international tv broadcast too maybe.. at least in this part of the world?

I am curious about something.  I hope it is ok to ask.  But there has been something that I have been wondering and wondering about..

I hope it is ok to ask.. but I was wondering does his wife drive?  I am asking because I was curious why he had to drive back instead of her driving him..?

Sorry to ask so publically.. but it is something that is puzzling to me.

My apologies in advance if question is inappropiate in any way.

Thank you.

:)

That's what a lot of us are also wondering.

Absolutely. That's the worst thing in the whole story (but didn't come out at the beginning). In trying to dig himself out of a hole, he's only succeeded in digging himself in deeper. And 30 miles is a very long "test drive". You'd think round the block would be sufficient (even if it was safe, which it wasn't).

The matter is closed. The Prime Minister and police say no law was broken.

Time for the belly aching to stop.  Let's get on with what is important. Beating the virus. I applaud Boris for his strength.

The media are obviously choking on their failure to destroy a man. I am not impressed at how the church of England joined in the attack. Horrid business all of it.

So unusual for Boris to back him ...after all he sacked his chancellor when he refused to take orders from Cummings !!!!    The police actually said he did break the rules from his own admission but as they didn't catch him they would not be taking the matter any further

You asked for opinions. Insulting those who give opinions, several times in this thread, will not be forgotten by me.

Police fined others for less. Cummings got advise he had broken lockdown rules. Police do NOT say he is innocent.

No comments so far from police about Cummings driving to Barnard castle while not sure if he was safe to be driving.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
