I don't think it's a good idea I don't agree either. Besides being a teaching tool when people were illiterate, the windows of Jesus and the disciples are beautiful, inspiring works of art. Some are hundreds of years old, amazingly crafted by artists. I often post stained glass windows on some of my posts. Also, museums worldwide have hundreds of thousands of paintings of Jesus....will some people now want to destroy those works of art?! Where will this stop? I don't think it's a good idea All statue and picture destruction shows a blinkered view of history and of how people in the past viewed themselves and others. If they find these images distressing or promoting a false/misleading historical view they should be requesting a poster that provides a corrective view/opinion. Many of these images have a historical and cultural importance to the majority of the population.
