See this alone tells me there has to be some kind of manufactured event that people will end up accepting the mark. The question is what is the method or means of which people will readily accept? In my opinion a disease pandemic is the perfect way in which people can be set up to accept the mark of the beast. Regardless how rich a person is, what position a person has in society, a disease can affect everybody. How it affects individuals can be different. Like when some people get the flu, some people get it worse than others.

If the plagues are future they are going to be so severe there won't be any speculation. 

Which would NOT be COVID-19. COVID-19 is not a lion. Neither does red fire shoot from its mouth. And while verses from Revelation were posted none were shown to be necessarily related to either COVID-19 or the 21st century. 

You do understand the basic rules of exegesis and logic, yes? For speculations to be reasonable and plausible they must follow at least the most basic precepts of both! Absent these precept scripture can be made to say anything! 

Which is unrelated to anything in Revelation. When Revelation mentions a sword it means a sword...  unless there is an indication within the text itself to the contrary. The first century reader would never have understood the sound of locusts to be helicopters. The mention of wild animals would not have been understood as Leopard2A7s or K2 Black Panthers. Such "interpretations," such speculations render the text irrelevant to its original readers. If spear is actually a machine gun the those revelations could not possibly have come true at any time prior to the invention of the automatic weapon. 

That, dear brothers and sisters, undermines imminency! 

Whatever those conditions and events may have been or may yet be they will have to be things the original readers understood as possibilities. Keeping this in mind will do three  things: 1) help you understand what the text is saying, 2) understand the events if and when they come true in your lifetime, and 3) help you recognize false teachers, prophets, and prognosticators when the speak. 

You’ve been asking for proof any of Revelation and end times texts are in 21st Century and not 23rd or 47th century. I used the lions shooting fire to prove that Revelation does speak of 21st century. 

We are specualting COVID could become the great plagues of Revelation 6:8 and 9:18. Never said “definitively, the Lord sayeth Covid is these plagues.”  

Speculation is not built on firm evidence:  

1. the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence. "there has been widespread speculation that he plans to quit" (Webster Dictionary) 

I even said in posts that however we arn’t yet seeing the death toll of the plagues of Revelation 6:8 and 9:18. 

This is a discussion thread, not a book by someone like Lee Strobel called “A Case for Covid being Most Definately, Certainly, and Unequivocally The Plagues of Revelation 6:8 and 9:18.”

When interpreting prophecy, if its fufilled or not is speculative unless you have ample evidence such as Isaiah 53 (foretells the Christ suffering) meets John 19 (Christ suffering exactly as Isaiah foretold).
