When you say I am used to being bullied. That is correct. I came from a family of very educated people who had very high standards and if you did not meet them or fit into them it was made known. I have always seen the duplicate side of why people favor one over  another and I can SEE manipulative tactics when presented.  For sure I have had to develop a thick skin or I would have become toast within my own  family or origin that I was brought up in as well as this world.  

I only know how I was brought up and how I have lived to be able to stay alive in this dog eat dog world.In my family of origin sympathy was never given,  especially when manipulative tactics where discerned , however I do sympathize with what Is see as a true cry for help  and sincerely try to help then, but when I detect a manipulative popularity contest survey/quiz underway once again I cringe. I don't see the point of enabling someone you feel is trying to manipulate a response.

Evidently by your response and probably by the response of her followers  and others i will be continuously berated for it, So be it. I said my peace and stand by it.

 

 

I am sorry for you for the way you were brought up.  You are not alone. many were raised in horrible circumstances, me included. Bashed from pillar to post by my mother for the slightest reason. Then because of my clothes I was again bullied and tormented by the bullies in the school. The teachers did nothing about this and me reporting this only made it worse for me.

After a year or so of putting up with that at the school, I realised that most of the boys were scared of the bully as I was, and followed him and included themselves in his work only to make themselves seem tough. I solved my problem this way. In Not condoning violence, but sometimes violence can only stopped by violence.

One evening, I snuck out early from school and knowing where he lived and which way he went home, waited behind a paling fence for the bully. I had a piece of 2 x 4 in my hand and as he rounded the corner, I jumped out from behind the fence, bashed him over his right shoulder as hard as I could, yelling out, "Where are all your mates now?" He went down like a bag of wet socks, crying like a baby. He must have told his mummy what happened when he got home because the next day I was called to the headmasters office and there he was with his mother. I explained to the headmaster and the bullies mother what had transpired over several years, and the H.M sent me back to my class.

After that I was never ever bullied again by anyone in the school. The bully and his cowardly mates avoided me like the plague whenever our paths crossed. 

I don't know Lady-Kay, I don't follow her, I do nothing more than read her posts if and when I am interested in what is being said by all.

I am grateful because it made me able to survive in this life and take care of myself.
I am so grateful that my own family tared me enough (like in creosote railroad crossties)  so that if anyone else tried to set me on fire, they would never succeed.

It  also helped me to find Christ Jesus for which I am ever so very grateful.

He has healed so many wounds in me and continues on to do so as I continue to seek Him and Him alone Daily.

I still have far to go and much to learn but I am so grateful for the Works He has begun in me, So many have not found Christ in their heart, and for those, I am most grieved and sorry for and pray for them to God that He show His plan of Mercy and Grace to them.

I truly grieve for those that have not His Grace working in their hearts and have a true concern of what is happening today around the world. For sure we need to cling close to His Word and align our lives with His Word.  I do care for everyone here at Worthy including Miss LadyKay,but I know she is saved in Christ Jesus as I have witnessed over the years the works He has done in her life and heart. My post tonight does not take away who she is in Christ Jesus, just I saw something that another family member in Christ who cares, might point out. At least that is what I hope would be done for me.

I was trying to clear something up. Since it came to my attention that some have taken offence at my signature. I wanted to explain my reason for choosing my signature and I also wanted it to be know that it was not meant as a personal attack towards anyone. 

Edifying:  

adjective

providing moral or intellectual instruction.     Seems to me according to this definition this thread is indeed "Edifying".

It's a discussion forum. Not everything has to be edifying. I find some content (mainly those referring to conspiracy theories) entirely unedifying, not to say destructive. Others have different opinions about that. Especially people who believe in those conspiracies. Just the way it goes.

Calling names, labelling anyone as a bully is to my mind, beyond the pale. Though I enjoy mocking egregiously ridiculous comments, I do try to restrain myself.
