If only you lived next door to me! I love guys who can tinker and get things up and running because my husband is absolutely useless in that area of things. I really wish he would learn this stuff for a little piece of mind if/when something eventually gives up. I know what you mean about the warranties, I hear you.

We did have a home warranty type thing for the whole house and those too are useless, I cant tell you how often they rip you off after some time. We ended up taking the money we might have paid them and put it into the bank  over the course of the year to pay for whatever new appliance might be necessary because you save what you would pay monthly/and or yearly to them (as a company) plus the handful of service charges (which were then $75 each) and I just found its more cost effective to do that than use them (at all). Half the time you get guys in there who tell you something isnt covered when it is, or that something really isnt covered and its really a roll of the dice.

Would love to cancel the directV, I dont watch it myself but the husband does so... you really cant cancel everything (even when you would absolutely love to do it) especially when there is someone else in the house.

Been combing through our homeowners insurance and what a racket that is, two days of learning how they are steering the rate increases even though you never had a claim and driving crap vehicles (even though there is some kind of ghost discount for those somehow (somewhere) built into the cost.

Enough of my yapping, a couple of more come to me, We use washable napkins for meals (not for TP though, I havent come 'that' far). I make homemade soap but sometimes depending on the oils used it can actually cost more so that isnt always cost effective. And last some services are cheaper if you pay for a year in advance, and so if you have a bunch of services and can pay that way it can save overall for people just as buying in bulk can.

I would pay ya to fix our stuff :)

We had a tile guy crack the tile in our shower, we just use Glad press n seal to protect it from moisture, it works great, beats paying the cost of a new tiled shower.

Hope it holds lol

Well thanks for those words. If you lived closer I would help if I could.

Warranties in general are not always what they are cracked up to be. More than one of my aquaintances has had bad experience with home and appliance warranties. There seems to often be a catch of some kind.

Home insurance is not something I had thought much about until recently. I need to have my property reevaluated.

To those who might be looking at cars-

Pretty soon I'm going to need to buy a car, so I've been looking around. One thing I noticed. Sometimes to go the upscale of a maker is no more expensive if buying used. The upscale of Toyota is Lexus, The upscale of Honda is Acura. The upscale of Nissan is Infinity.

Not exactly sure about the others but when I priced 3-5 year old vehicles comparing Nissan to Infinity for the same body style I seen little or no difference in price. What does this mean? It might possibly mean a little better resale value since you would be buying the upscale of a similar more common model. Often a similar upscale model has slightly more features or better trim. A comparison between a 2018 Infinity QX50 and a Nissan Murano has the QX 50 at slightly better gas mileage and more horsepower. Not by much. It has more standard torque too.

While there is a distance in new pricing, after a car is 3-5 years old I am not seeing as much difference here in my area. Might be worth it to look at those upscale models after all.

You paid $90 for a Go-Flip ? ? ? ? At where ? ? ? ?..... Lol........

tmobil for an Alcatel.  was that too much?  They are $129 at Amazon.

They were nice little phones.   We got them for short time use until the 5g phones came out and towers were up where we live.

I just picked up a couple of Galaxy s21's..    a bit more than $90 but are excellent computers and camera's that also do phone calls.

4 Ger flip phone here, All I had in a 3g was I can't even remember, Want to 'upgrade' to a Nokia................ :24::emot-heartbeat:We also do not have a dish washer and know of several people who do not............. I just recently bought the Crea clip and give myself hair cuts now, Via Unicorn cut, And giving it layers by bringing it up foward and in front and clipping the Crea clip in front, And doing the and doing the soft cut, do'nt remember what it's called, but doing the up and down, cut, so it isn't blunt edges, In the trims, Trimming it softly so no blunt edges............... And adds layers than I've never had before............................... I will probably have a harder time if or when I have to cut it short, But I am still young enough, old, But young enough to be able to flip my hair upside down and put it in a Unicorn and do a soft cut along the bottoms and sides etc............. ... Also, Naturally wavy hair so I can and should do it while dry, and not wet................................. I'm in love with my hair now  more-so than I've ever been before,I only wish I could get my deposit back on all the wasted years................ :24::mellow:

Peace to you also anymsfmly. I do have a 4G flip phone back up I purchased a few years back in case technology sprinted too far ahead of me giving me no more choice but to snail mail for the rest of my life. I count my blessings everyday for my 3G little flipper. If it had only had one of those long curly wires attached to a wall I would be thrilled about life on this earth :D

I never heard of the crea clip, I just duckduckgo'd it. I think I would have a harder time with that flip stuff now that I am an old Tart I am but it looks like it cuts better hair than what the hairdressers can do in my area (even when it "fails"). My hair is a mess right now, the last hair cut I got (was two years ago or so now?) and that was a huge fail, so I watched a youtube video on how to cut my own, and it did the trick. I just wear a headband daily, so it wasn't too obvious, but after all this time, I can't hide my unkept hair so much. I gotta get on with a real haircut soon before the next disease (which might kill 1.2% of people instead of 1%) strikes the world and they introduce a two year lock down.

But if it arrived before I did that, so what then, right? I have dog clippers.

with AT&T or T-mobile you can't use the "WIFI phone calling" unless it's locked to that system.

Well, You can get a flip phone for $50 at qvc. Not sure when they started selling them, But I know they had them a few years ago, too, So...............................

maybe so, but I think I'll keep my Galaxy s21's that Joe Biden bought me.

There is also varying quality of flip phones themselves.   Cheapest isn't always the best buy.

I wasn't either until I unlocked my phones while switching to T-Mobile because of the monthly costs on AT&T.   And that was after the phone company told me it would work....   spent hours and hours on the phone changing things in the phone setup to finally learn that it just "aint' gonna happen".

Oh well, things are pretty much ok. Got new phones in the last week or so.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
