The idea of a "sin nature" is a misnomer.  Before conversion to Christ our nature was totally sinful and followed the works of the flesh as listed in Galatians 5.  When conversion took place we received a new heart and spirit and had the righteousness of Christ bestowed as a free gift from God.  Along with that we have the indwelling Holy Spirit.  Therefore we started to live in the Spirit as described in Galatians 5.

But we still have our physical bodies still blighted by sin and condemned to die.  Paul called it "the flesh".   He says that those who walk in the flesh, that is, according to the demands of our physical bodies, we cannot please God.  He says that seeing that we live in the Spirit, we should walk in the Spirit.   Paul says that there is nothing good in him, that is in his flesh.   This is what people mistakenly call the sin nature.  But there is no two natures fighting for supremacy in us.  Paul never taught that.   He says that the conflict is between the Spirit and our flesh.

We still have the sinful nature, which is the flesh, we have the indwelling Holy Spirit, but out sinful nature ,is still there, as we walk with the Lord,His Spirit helps us overcome our sinful nature/ flesh.

Yes, the apostle berates himself and says, "oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me" etc.

Jude 1:20  But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,
21  keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.

Yes praying daily in the Spirit (tongues) helps me to stay the course and to confront my wrongdoings when I do fail or backslide.

The enemy knows my sinful history as the old previous person I was and continually stirs up temptations of desire or provokes me to bad behaviours in the flesh (like getting upset and cursing).

But when I confront myself and pray in the Spirit about what is troubling me or as to what I have wrongly done then spiritually the power of the Holy spirit cleanses me from all of this and sets sets me free from condemnation.

1John 3:18  Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
19  By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him;
20  for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

By telling people they cannot understand you because you are speaking above them does not show the humility that come through the new man created in a believer, but the ego of the old man, the flesh.

By reviewing only the last couple of posts you make, you do not seem to address how we must live in this flesh until we die, and that the old man, which is in the flesh, continues to live also; nor did I see where you say that we must continue to take up our cross daily in order to walk in the Spirit.

Both Colossians 3 and Galatians 5 address this.

I disagree. Paul did the same thing I'm doing. Telling folks they cannot bare him teaching them the meat because they are still on the milk. And that all most seem to understand is Jesus Christ and him crucified. It's not about my ego. I'm just telling the truth.

Disagree all you want, but you sound like you are setting yourself on the same level as Paul, able to judge people on this site as Paul was able to judge the churches he ministered to.  There is a huge difference between Paul's ministry to the churches and you with this site.  First, and foremost, Paul knew them first hand, in person, for a long time before he ever wrote to them.  You have never met anyone here and have only been a member for 6 months.  You have absolutely no way of knowing who knows what nor do you know at what level anyone's maturity is.

Sure sounds to me like you are saying that you are above many here in knowledge and wisdom of scripture.  Grant you that people are at different levels in their growth in Christ, but who are we to judge such matters about those you do not know?  Wise leaders lead by example, not by demeaning others.

IS  DISOBEDIENCE  WALKING  IN  THE  SPIRIT

ACTS 1:1  the former treatise have I made O theophilus of all that  JESUS  began both to do and teach  --1:2-- until the the day in which  HE  was taken up after that  HE  through the holy spirit had given commandments unto the apostles whom  HE  had chosen

JOHN 12:49  FOR  I  HAVE  NOT  SPOKEN  OF  MYSELF  BUT  --THE  FATHER--  WHICH  SENT  ME  HE  GAVE  ME  A  COMMANDMENT WHAT ---I  SHOULD  SAY  AND  WHAT  I  SHOULD  SPEAK---

--12:50  AND  I  KNOW  THAT  HIS  COMMANDMENT  IS  LIFE  EVERLASTING  --- WHATSOEVER  I  SPEAK --- THEREFORE --- EVEN  AS  THE  FATHER  SAID  UNTO  ME  SO  I  SPEAK

JOHN 3:35  THE  FATHER  LOVETH  THE  SON  AND  HATH  GIVEN  ALL  THINGS  INTO  HIS  HAND

1 CORINTHIANS 8:5  for though there be that are called gods whether in heaven or in earth as there be gods many and lords many  --8:6-- BUT  TO  US -- there is but one --GOD  THE  FATHER--of whom are all things and we in  HIM  and one --LORD  JESUS  CHRIST-- by whom are all things and we by  HIM

HEBREWS 2:8  thou hast put all things in subjection under  HIS  feet for in that  HE  put all in subjection under  HIM  HE  left --NO  THING-- that is not put under  HIM  but now we see not yet all things put under  HIM

2 THESSALONIANS 2:8  AND  THEN  SHALL  THAT  WICKED  BE  REVEALED  WHOM  THE  LORD  SHALL  CONSUME  WITH  --THE  SPIRIT  OF  HIS  MOUTH-- AND  SHALL  DESTROY  WITH  THE  BRIGHTNESS  OF  HIS  COMING

1 TIMOTHY 2:5  FOR  THERE  IS  ONE  GOD  AND --ONE  MEDIATOR-- BETWEEN  GOD  AND  MEN  -----THE  MAN  JESUS  CHRIST-----

LOVING  THE  LORD  JESUS  CHRIST

It is quite evident that walking in the Spirit is not synonymous with being in active continual habitual sin.

How is one an ensign if they reflect the ways of the world?

It is a blessed thing that scripture itself puts forth an infallible proof of what ‘in the Spirit’ means, with the words;

‘shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh’..

Therefore with these words, any understanding that does not produce this fruit,  is a inaccurate or incomplete understanding of what the phrase is meant to portray...

For in the Spirit produces the fruit of not fulfilling..

The degree of the one will be the degree of the other..

Be blessed in Him, Not me

You or someone brought it up. Not me. Someone said maybe too many on here are still on the milk. I simply said hey that's an idea. Maybe what I teach is over their head since I am an advanced teacher. Now you can say I have a fat head all you want. But I'm still an advanced teacher and there are still many new thinking Christians on here.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
