there seems to be different schools of thought on sin.

some think we dont sin anymore once we are saved

some think we are still human, so we sin due to humanity

some think that we dont have to say sorry anymore or ask for forgiveness as forgiveness is automatic.

some think the opposite.

is very confusing.

The problem with sin, I believe, is that it comes back to bite us. Example: You rob a bank, you go to prison. Usually, though, it is much more subtle, and we don't understand that when we sin, we hurt ourselves. And I believe that is why the Lord gave us commandments - to spare us the unpleasant consequences of sin. And I don't think many understand this.

Faith makes us aware of our sin. Without faith there is ignorance.

No not really ... just read the epistles written to the church giving correction and instructions on how to stay saved.

There is so much dumbing down of Christian faith these days - most modern new age doctrines are opposed to the truth of the Word of God. Ignore them.

Just read your epistles and learn directly from the word of God -

It is not confusing - just be a doer of the word:

Titus 2:11  For the grace of God hath appeared to all men bringing salvation,
12  instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present age;
13  awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14  who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a people for his possession, zealous of good works.
15  These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise thee.

I don't need instructions on how to stay saved. I am saved. Full stop.

Repentance is part of my walk with God, as a fallen human. Not part of my salvation.

Amen. Not by good works, but by Gods mercy he saved us (you)

Well no wonder you are confused.

The epistles to the churches are there for our admonition and exhortation - they guide and correct us and explain the perils of failing.

You may have come to the Lord on a certain day, but you need to keep on walking with the Lord until the end.

If this is true she is under law not under grace,

in fact, according to the law no one ever lived up to Gods standard,  for all have sinned and fall short, as Paul said, whoever is under law is cursed because cursed is everyone who does not confirm and obey every word,

so why would you condemn her when you you yourself can never be good enough to earn salvation. This is confusing,,,

Amen, They are condemned already because of that sin, and will remain in that state unless they repent (come to faith)

What nonsense is this?

No one is condemning @leah777 yes we are under grace and therefore we continue to walk in the Spirit and to walk pleasing unto God.

We are required to put the effort into becoming wise unto salvation by discerning what is good and what is evil (sin) and to be an overcomer.

Grace is not an excuse to become slothful and presume we are saved because once upon a time we got baptised or whatever.

Remember the words of our Lord and God - not everybody who says to me Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of God - yes Christians can fail.

Colossians 1:28  Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

Romans 6:1  What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?
6:6  We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
6:12  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions.
6:13  Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
14  For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
15  What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!

Ephesians 5:8  for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
5:9  (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),
5:10  and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
