The following verses of scripture are a hint....

John 1:18 (NAS20S) No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.

John 5:37 (NAS20S) “And the Father who sent Me, He has testified about Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.

John 6:46 (NAS20S) “ Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.

Rev. 13:8 (NKJVS) All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Connect the dots, brother.

Jesus said that when he was 33 years and two months old.

And if someone search his body he wan't find any wounds to indicate that he had been slain.

@Justin Adams

I read through your original post, and some of the posts of others after yours, and to be honest with you I've never heard of "Futurism", and it seems like to me what your mulling over and trying to figure out could drive a person "Loony."

For me the future doesn't matter much except that I don't know when Christ is coming back, but I do know that I need to continually keep moving forward in my studies, and my ministry work helping others, or just being there for others like my oldest son right now, who has a huge plate full to deal with, and encouraging some of my neighbors who have struggles too.

For me, God has to take care of the future. There are too many people with all kinds of ideas about what this and that means, but it's all guess work, and they haven't a clue if any of what they think is true, so why get caught caught up in all that, when you could be working on your life right where your at today.

What I know that God say's about the future is in Matthew 6:34, "do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself."

Over the decades, I used to say over the years, but then I went way past that :24:.

I've learned to put a lot of things in Gods hands and keep my life simple, as God says in Philippians 4:6-8, "to be anxious for nothing...", and Jeremiah 29:11-14 , "For I know the plans I have for you."

I have a nicely balanced life. I have a hobby, my yard work, and I love it when the sun comes out this time of year, and I can go for walks. But I also love to come here and one other forum, as Christianity seems to have nearly disappeared in truth, and I also like to "MINISTER to people, encourage people when their hurting and be of help when I can, and my studies are a JOY TO ME, as the HOLY SPIRIT continues to grow and mature me, and open my eyes to new truths and new depths to His word that I can apply to my life NOW.

God bless all of you posting in this topic. I hope you all find answers that bring you the peace I am blessed with daily

My name is Arrabon

I would only add that although making this distinction may be technically correct and I'm not certain that it is--that 'gift of faith' will always be accompanied with regeneration. When I think about my own experience, it seems to me to have happened instantaneously.

:-)

I am not arguing your point--just discussing it.

When that fella read to me "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life"--the Lord right then spoke to me and said--"I am the Truth".

Something within me immediately 'agreed' with Him. That something was 'FAITH'.

It was quite a moment, in which I was joined to Christ--the Cross, the Resurrection and the Ascension. I was a bystander and yet I wasn't.

:-)

Your experience is very similar to mine.

I was reading the gospel according to Luke (still in darkness and unbelief, but convicted of sin, knowing that I'd broken God's law and looking for a way out of my guilt and sin) and, when I reached Luke 23:34 (it was in a Gideons' NIV NT - it was one of the 50 verses (or parts of verses) that Gideons had put back in, the NIV translators having removed it - it was based on a very early edition of the NIV NT), suddenly I knew, beyond all doubt, that when Jesus died on the cross, he took my sins upon him and saved me.  I was flooded with overpowering sorrow for my sin, faith in Jesus and overwhelming love for him, all at the same time.

Luke 23:34 (WEB) Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”. Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

I had not reasoned anything out; I had come to no conclusions about how to be saved; and I had made no decision to commit myself to Jesus (or any of the other ways that evangelism-by-numbers might word it), prior to this salvation experience.  Once I had been given this new heart, along with repentance, faith and love, THEN I made the decision to follow Jesus all my days and to seek to please him.

Someone could make decisions to follow Jesus, until the cows come home; but it won't save him, unless God has mercy upon him and makes him born again, giving him a new heart and spirit that repents and believes in Jesus Christ, in love.

The new heart/spirit, repentance and faith all seem to happen at the same time; but, the new heart has to come first (in logical order), because the natural man will not repent and believe in Jesus - the Bible is very clear about this.

Again I agree God does all the work for salvation but in the end, softened heart an all...WE make the choice.  And until we make that choice, we are still dead in sin and need to be born again

That is not what the Bible says.  The Bible never says that salvation by grace through faith is dependent upon the choice of sinful man.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
