it actually doesn't modify your DNA, it uses the natural process in our body and simply instructs it on what to produce with this natural process.

I do have to agree that we can't know all the long term ramifications of this kind of vaccine, but who do we sacrifice to know....   and how many die from the virus in the next ten years plus for us to actually know.

I'm sure I saw a thread on this same topic some time ago.

As I recall, Zuckerberg changed his position from his original concerns made back in the summer of 2020 later in October or November. People are allowed to change their minds as they get new information.

I think this virus has brought fear and brain washing to this world. There are 219 viruses in this world. The flu being one of them. Do we wear a face mask for those illnesses? no

On average we have about 60 million cases of influenza a year and 35,000 or so deaths....   in the last year we have had only30 million cases with 556,000 deaths.    It's not a good thing to compare the two.

I also talked with my doctor last week over a really bad case of vertigo and he told me that he had not had a single case of the flu reported in the last year so he's kind of ok with wearing masks.

I am finding that I have had much less sinus trouble this year with red cedar blooms but it is still affecting my eyes so I know it's there.

I have lost three friends from it this year and several who have had problems like ChickenCoup.  I don't consider the warnings we had as brain washing.   With the infection rate this virus has, had we done nothing like some of my acquaintances would have happened, there is no telling how many other people would have been infected and possibly millions dying.

The reason there are fewer flu cases now is the people are wearing masks and many more have gotten the flu vaccine this year. All those who have gotten the vaccine still have to wear a mask. Wearing a mask may be the new normal.

The video shows an awkward bumbling statement from someone who does not understand the molecular science involved. I'm not throwing shade at Zuckerberg. We all stumble over our words sometimes, and we can't all have science degrees. But he's probably not the best source of information about how the vaccines work.

None of the three currently approved vaccines alters our chromosomal DNA. They simply make use of our cellular machinery to make specific proteins to elicit an immune response (i.e. to teach our immune system how to deal with the virus if we do later become infected with the actual virus).

True, the mRNA does not alter your DNA, itself. However, once the protein is created, that can alter your DNA. This is called reverse transcription.

Respectfully, this is not correct.

Firstly, the mRNA does not penetrate the nucleus where our DNA is contained and protected.

Humans do not have a reverse transcriptase gene. So unless one is provided in the vaccine itself, or through a secondary infection from a virus carrying a reverse transcriptase gene, "reverse transcription" will not be an issue with the mRNA vaccines.

"Reverse transcription" only changes RNA into DNA. It does not provide a mechanism for the DNA to penetrate the cell nucleus. And even if it did, another enzyme (also not present in humans) would be required to incorporate the DNA into the human genome.
