Interesting thoughts, thanks. What do you think of the scriptures in the op? It teaches us to think about good things. When confusion comes maybe thinking about Gods grace or His promises would be helpful. What ive experienced is that the mind can get confusing. And failing to live up to what God wants from us is horrible. Why? Confusion. You keep living on Gods grace but never see victory. Perhaps these scriptures hold a key to overcoming the confusion and bad thoughts.

We live in perilous and decadent times. Just look around you, every household is suffering. Somewhere around 1920, at the birth of modernity, the community of the majority turned away from God completely and celebrated the humanities and imaginative realm turned towards modern art, all that which is merely human, the pleasures of the flesh and the things of the world. But the spirit has had enough, humans in their ignorance have corrupted themselves and we are collectively now experiencing ... a curse, I would say, and we have brought it upon ourselves. Only through God can it be rectified, the human already had it´s try to repair itself, and this is where it has led us.

If there is suffering, maybe the only thing one can do at this time is to accept it and try to learn what it is trying to tell you. The experiencing I, the I that is not the body, and not the human mind. But which have a human body and mind, needs to let go of the "we", that is to say, the human community. Instead replace it with this triangle: I, the holy ghost, God.

The holy ghost is that which enters the human realm, in the flesh, becomes part of you, and guides you towards that which is beyond all that which the human mind can conceive of (God).

The "we", the "sinners" that still wants to keep their modern community, will rebel, look at the culture war going on now. They will recieve the mark, so let them have it. it does not concern the spirit.

The scripture says to think about what is pure and true. We must ask ourselves, our my thoughts pure and true? Are they what the Spirit desires?

Romans 8:5 For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind [f]set on the flesh is death, but the mind [g]set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind [h]set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

s just saying.

Are you teaching me or are you asking to be taught? If the latter then I believe I have already provided the answer but I will add this: your enter existence is an act of God's grace.

Should I expect to be graced with answer to that specific question or not? ;)

I am going to reiterate the current point: There are least six ways to know about God and to know Him. God uses the written word, the incarnate word, His own Holy Spirit, creation, His laws designed into our being, and the body of Christ. God uses others.

Hebrews 10:19-25
"Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,  by a new and living way which he inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, his flesh,  and since we have a great priest over the house of God,  let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;  and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,  not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another....."

Having entered the holy place we are not give up fellowship. That fellowship is to stimulate love, good deeds, encouragement and conditions of fellowship listed elsewhere in the Bible.

Proverbs 5:7-14
"Now then, my sons, listen to me And do not depart from the words of my mouth.  Keep your way far from her And do not go near the door of her house,  Or you will give your vigor to others And your years to the cruel one;  And strangers will be filled with your strength And your hard-earned goods will go to the house of an alien;  And you groan at your final end, When your flesh and your body are consumed;  And you say, 'How I have hated instruction! And my heart spurned reproof! I have not listened to the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined my ear to my instructors!  I was almost in utter ruin In the midst of the assembly and congregation."

Proverbs 1:7
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction."

Proverbs 9:7-9
"He who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And he who reproves a wicked man gets insults for himself.  Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you.  Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning."

Proverbs 10:17
"He is on the path of life who heeds instruction, But he who ignores reproof goes astray."

Proverbs 13:14
"The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, to turn aside from the snares of death."

Proverbs 27:9
"Oil and perfume make the heart glad, So a man's counsel is sweet to his friend."

God uses others for His instruction and those He uses are not always believers. He once used a donkey to teach someone a very important lesson. A wise person listens well to ise people, but s/he does so with discernment.

To what end?

Was it a statement intended as idle, empty, or careless? If not then to what end do you post, "Surely without grace i could do nothing"?

I have already stated that grace is a function of our regeneration and transformation in Christ. No good teaching comes without God's grace and it comes with that grace in many ways. Even the existence of division and false teachers is - when properly understood - an act of God's grace. Our very existence is an act of God's grace.

1 Corinthians 1:10
"Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment."

1 Corinthians 11:17-19
"But in giving this instruction, I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse.  For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it.  For there must also be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you."

You've been complaining about conditions that existed in the original Church. God is fully aware of these conditions. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit He instructed Paul to tell his readers why that conditions is permitted to exist. You say it's a problem and it is very clear throughout the posts the condition is not used as God intended or in obedience to His clearly stated word! God is using this op and this exchange to bring this word to your attention.

There have to be factions among us so we can recognized the Kenneth Copelands for what they are: false teachers

But no person is perfect. Not even Peter or Paul were perfect. Paul records Peter being hypocritical and double-minded as a Spirit-filled regenerate apostle! The apostle Peter had to be corrected. The teaching of his example was dividing the body. Does that make Peter a Kenneth Copeland? Definitely not. You do not appear to understand the differences. You don't seem to understand that maturity in Christ and/or good teaching is a spectrum NOT and all-or-nothing condition. Jesus is the only person in the Bible who was perfect. Every other person from its beginning to its end is imperfect in one way or another. In fact, the record of the Bible can easily be understood as the history of God using seriously flawed people to forward His purpose in creation. Many of them were teachers. For every Kenneth Copeland in the Church there are ten good teachers. Yet every one of them is imperfect and gets something incorrect. That is why we are to measure all things with well-rendered scripture. That is why knowledge, maturity, etc. is so critical to not being swayed by every wind and doctrine.

God is fully ware of these conditions. They do not exist without His consent, and He remains sovereign over them all for your good and mine and His glory!

Whether you like it or not if you say you're not Catholic and not Orthodox and you call yourself a Protestant then you can thank folks like Luther and Calvin for that. That does not mean they were perfect teachers. It does not mean they were wholly bad teachers, either. I wonder how it was you picked Kenneth Copeland and not one of the many great teachers from which modern Christianity benefitted.

That alone is a problem, Whyme.

It is a problem to be solved.

I was just agreeing on one point in your post, in my own way.

This is the gist of what i saw in these scriptures. It seems so simple. In my opinion it clears up Romans 8 and helps me see it more clearly. Romans always sounded mystical to me. Ive never linked these two scriptures before but i feel blessed by it, like God opened my eyes. This to me is where the battle is fought.

Romans 8:5 For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Some scriptures i dug up. I think they are relevant.

Luke 8:14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.

Psalm 119:9-11 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander.

Psalm 119:37 Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.

Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Matthew 22:37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Revelation 22:15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

1 Corinthians 11:28 Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Proverbs 28:26 Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
