1Th 5:9 KJV For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

The rapture would have to be before the wrath of God of the 7 yr triblulation starts.

Isa 26:20 KJV Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Zep 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.

LESSON OF THE 10 VIRGINS - Only five were ready for the rapture and the 'marriage supper of the Lamb'.

Mat 25:1-13 GW "When the end comes, the kingdom of heaven will be like ten bridesmaids. They took their oil lamps and went to meet the groom. (2) Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. (3) The foolish bridesmaids took their lamps, but they didn't take any extra oil. (4) The wise bridesmaids, however, took along extra oil for their lamps. (5) Since the groom was late, all the bridesmaids became drowsy and fell asleep. (6) "At midnight someone shouted, 'The groom is here! Come to meet him!' (7) Then all the bridesmaids woke up and got their lamps ready. (8) "The foolish ones said to the wise ones, 'Give us some of your oil. Our lamps are going out.' (9) "But the wise bridesmaids replied, 'We can't do that. There won't be enough for both of us. Go! Find someone to sell you some oil.' (10) "While they were buying oil, the groom arrived. The bridesmaids who were ready went with him into the wedding hall, and the door was shut. (11) "Later the other bridesmaids arrived and said, 'Sir, sir, open the door for us!' (12) "But he answered them, 'I don't even know who you are!' (13) "So stay awake, because you don't know the day or the hour.

Rev 19:7-9 KJV Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. (9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The 'marriage supper of the Lamb' appears to happen in heaven (during the tribulation) before the second coming of the Lord with His saints:

Zec 14:5 KJV And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Are you ready?

I found these remarks by G. Campell Morgan to be similar to my own, even though he admits himself "many devout devout students of prophetic truth differ"

"I am convinced that not all Christians people will be taken to be with Christ on His return, but only those who by the atttude of their lives are ready for His appearing. They who remain and pass through the Tribulation will be awakened by the stupdenous events of their times to the privilage of witnessing for the TRUTH (my emphisis  ) in that age."

Then hardly anyone would get there, then.

I'm certainly not close to God at present... :noidea:

The Lord is coming like a thief in the night. There will be a rapture. I like the way Clarence Larkin put it. Its an analogy. A thief comes quickly, without notice, does not come to stay, takes the valuables, leaves more than he takes.

I know that Jesus said that he will come as a theif in the night, butn in the Bible, there are statements that say there will not be a rapture???

Contradiction?

It can't be!

Surely not! :24:

Can anyone explain?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I don't know if I can explain, other than no one knows the time, or the hour,

we just know to be prepared at any given time. As the world is going down, we must continue to look up and help others to reminded to look up, and keep the faith, at every hour, of every day , while we can still call it a day. :24:

A little something for some serious thought:

http://home.comcast.net/~pdhinderlie/Chris...005_rapture.htm

I'm sure that I have not seen any date setting that I have agreed with in my 58 years of life and 40 of christian study....... but this really makes a lot of sense.

Don't know if there is a rapture, but we may well see in the very very very near future.

If no rapture and this time schedule is anywhere as accuriate as it seems to me, the tribulation may be upon us.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
