What do you see in nature that makes you stop and think about what an awesome Creator God we have? For me lately, it has been something a little unusual. Fungi have particularly done this for me lately. They have such unusual and interesting structures in their reproductive forms, while much of the fungus remains underground. Many fungi can reproduce both sexually (through combination of two different types of gametes) and asexually. What incredible creativity to come up with these interesting forms of life! There have been some really interesting ones around the house (outside, not inside!) in the last few weeks. I should have taken some pictures, but I'm afraid I missed the window of opportunity for now.

The Barbarian Posted July 27, 2021 Group: Royal Member Followers: 3 Topic Count: 27 Topics Per Day: 0.00 Content Count: 5,176 Content Per Day: 0.68 Reputation: 994 Days Won: 0 Joined: 06/20/2003 Status: Offline Share Posted July 27, 2021 This is a great question. And an apt one for Christians to consider: Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. I've spent a lifetime, learning about His creation. And while science doesn't involve faith, His creation does continuously remind me of His power and wisdom. One of the really impressive things about nature is that it is ultimately based on such a few rules (or maybe just one). The stunning complexity of the world is comprehensible in terms of such a small number of physical laws by which it works. And the fact that it's knowable suggests that He was ready to share it with us. Often, when I'm alone, maybe down by the Trinity, there's a moment when I can see at once, the beauty and detail of living things and the power and wisdom of the one Who did it. Those moments are an epiphany for me. 2
