I thought that by giving Terrorists what they want? We would have Peace with our enemy? Isn't it the hearts desire of Al Qaeda for Israel to leave so called Occupied Lands? Wasn't the Foreign Policy of the U.S concerning the establishment of a PA State to undermine the rage and poverty that breeds Al Qaeda warriors?

DUBAI (Reuters) - A group claiming links to al Qaeda said on Friday it had fired rockets at a U.S. Navy ships in Jordan and an Israeli port, according to an Internet statement.

The statement, which could not be authenticated, was signed by the Abdullah al-Azzam Brigades of the al Qaeda Organization in the Levant and Egypt.

It was carried on an Islamist Web site not often used by other groups which say they are linked to Osama bin Laden's network.

"A group of our mujahideen have targeted U.S. vessels in Jordan and (Israel's) Eilat port with three Katyusha rockets before safely returning to their base," the statement said.

"Zionists are a legitimate target and we warn the Americans, who are spreading their corruption throughout the world and who have stolen the wealth of the Muslim nation, to expect even more stinging attacks.

"This is our debut operation in Jordan," it added. "And as we have begun to destroy the throne of the Egyptian tyrant, we warn the Jordanian tyrant to release our jailed brothers and voluntarily abdicate before we force you to go."

Earlier this month, the group was one of several organizations that said it was behind the bomb attacks on a market and hotels in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. It has also claimed the October 2004 bombings at another Egyptian Red Sea resort.

Three rockets were fired at two U.S. Navy ships in Jordan's Aqaba port on Friday. They missed their targets and instead hit a warehouse and a hospital, killing a Jordanian soldier, and struck the Israeli port of Eilat.

A Jordanian security source said authorities were searching for three men after the attack, which was launched from an industrial warehouse area near the entrance to the city.

So much for capitulation for Peace?

This really irks me. Sorry. No wait I'm not sorry. We have a Jewish Gov't. tearing out it's own people from their homes which same said Gov't. established. In a heartbreaking fashion. In the meantime Terrorists dance and sing as they raise the flag of the enemy over these former Jewish Homes. As we watch the destruction of the Jewish homeland? Al Qaeda is ranting about Zionism? Some Jews have favored the pull out because they believe it will finally justify Israel, that if Palestine fails or continues in terrorism they can point to it as an example that giving land doesn't work.

I say, do they honestly believe the world cares or wants that? They have proven they are justifiable in their existance....I think the UN wants to go back on its charter.

I don't think we have any idea what is really behind this move....yet.

But if Abbas allows terrorist to launch attacks from Gaza that will be the end of any talk of a nation-state of Palestine. Forever.

It was the Poland invasion that started WWII....it was our apathy to Austria and his other annexes and military build up that lead to that invasion and bloody war.

Well, yes. By giving them what they want, we will enjoy peace.

But, what they want is not for Israel to leave the "Occupied lands". What they want is the total end of the Jewish people, It's nation, and the destruction of America.

Of course, then they will move on to the rest of the world of non-muslim believers. Once that is complete, I assume they will then turn on themselves and start in on those muslim nations that are not quite as "muslim" as they feel they should be.

So yeah, once they are given what they want, there will be peace.

What they want though, in reality, is much different than what is portrayed. The terrorists took a page straight from the Bill Clinton book of gun control (or was it the other way around?), if you can't get the entire agenda completed in one move, than make many small moves until the job is complete.

As the grip of the handshake gets firmer, so does their grip on the knives behind their back.

The pull-out of the Jews from Gaza will surely demonstrate this model, but the sad part is, most people will not see nor care what is really going on.

Amor....do you think that the Palestinian people could do a bit more than they are doing as far as their side of the deal. Perhaps calling for the terrorists amongst their ranks to knock it off? Recognize Israel's right to exist? Quit getting behind (Arafat type) leaders who site the " Treaty of Hudaybiya" after they just finished peace talks with Israeli leaders? The Jews would absolutly be foolish to not understand the double talk of Islam. They had better keep their guard up and heads out of the sand. Its time for the good, peace loving Palestinians to stand up and say "enough to terrorism". "We recognize Israel as a legetimate nation". "We denounce the Islamic Jihadist mandate to drive the Jews into the sea". And then act on it. The Gaza debate is appearantly over. Now what are the Palestinians going to to to further the peace process? If they allow more attacks, the Jews have a right to build the fence and defend themselves with full measure.
