1 Cor 2:9, But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Do you ever wonder what things God has prepared for those who love Him?

Yes, I have but... I can't even picture in my mind what a glorified body will be like. What the earth will become when the curse is removed. Or the awesomeness of the New Jerusalem and our eternal home.

Speaking directly to the context, according to verse 10,

     1 Corinthians 2:10 (KJV)
10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

verse 9 is speaking more of the things that God reveals to His people in this life such as the wonders of His Great Salvation, His Great love, His amazing grace, His undying mercy, His powerful forgiveness, etc.

I like this topic. The most amazing thing will be the fellowship without sin. And direct fellowship with God and the lamb.

I am sure it is beyond our wildest imagination and also the rewards we will get will depend on how faithful we were to God while we were on this earth.

 @HAZARD

1 Corinthians 2:9

9" It is written that, "What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—"

John 14: 2-4, “”

“In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.

Revelation 21 - a vision of John in heaven;

15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[c] in length, and as wide and high as it is long. 17 The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits[d] thick.[e] 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.[f] 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

Very exciting to me!!!

John 14:2 (KJV) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Here's another prime example of what some will say, "well, the Bible doesn't say that", and they would be correct. Jesus was talking to and addressing Peter and the apostles. Could Jesus be talking about the 12 foundations of the New Jerusalem? It doesn't say all believers in Jesus will get a mansion [room]. I personally believe this verse, like many other promises in the Bible, are representative of the collective. But I digress from the point I'd like to make.

I've thought about, and wondered about, and asked this question a number of times; with no significant logical responses? Assuming "many mansions" is translated as many "rooms", as implied that each believer will get their own personal room [personal space], as it has been customarily thought.

Assuming these 'mansions' are individual personal dwellings, as in your own home or apartment, here's my question:

Why would we want or need our own personal space

My hermeneutics are; the New Jerusalem will be the eternal home on earth for all believers of all ages. All of us [Christians] are promised glorified bodies. In our glorified state; will we still need sleep and rest, with a place for it? Will we need a safe place to shelter, or a place to get out of the weather? Will we want or need a place to retreat to for a little privacy and seclusion? With our glorified bodies, will we still need access to the "Tree of Life", as Adam and Eve did, to maintain their conditional immortality. Conditional in my view; they not sin and eat the one thing they were prohibited from eating [tree of the knowledge of good & evil].

The Tree of life in Revelation, associated with the New Jerusalem and the eternal state, doesn't appear to be figurative, a metaphor or symbolic, but a literal tree bearing 12 different fruits every month.

If the traditional interpretation is true, that John 14:2 implies a personal room for each and every believer. What could our room be used for?

1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV) For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

My thoughts: I think not only will we be constantly worshiping the Father and our Lord and Savior. We will have jobs, responsibilities and assignments to accomplish. We will also have fellowship with our families, loved ones, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ of all ages. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a place to go to and sit down one on one, and have a personal chat about our testimonies and experiences with Adam, Moses, Elijah, Jonah, Nebuchadnezzar, etc.?

I could well be off base here, but that's how my electrical-chemical brain process is formulating currently.

Morning Steve, what does this mean to you ,apply it yourself :) Unspeakable joy? Love so amazing?

Do you ever wonder what things God has prepared for those who love Him?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
