Please, forgive me if i misrepresented your post with mine.

I think that homosexuality is not any different than being a celibatarian, or even a married person, or single person. The animalistic nature of sexuality exists for all. Even a married couple can make wrong choices with each other, together. The topic is about homossexuals, so i get that you would mention them in particular, but i added my post thinking about the kid who is struggling with what he/she hears in the media/school/etc. and what the Holy Spirit tells them in their conscience. Their burden is heavy, we all have a burden, so they are not alone, they are able to surpass this, God didn't create them to be miserable, we are all the same, we all deny ourselves so Jesus can live in us.

No worries. In fact, I understand why you initially responded. I could have been clearer.

I always figured homsexuality is a sin because it is sex divorced of its purpose to reproduce and bring glory to God with your children. Homsexual sex can only ever be about pleasure making it an issue.

The problem for me is THOSE who are demanding I accept it as ok.  Those who make sure every show I watch I have to be subjected to it.  I don't go around trying to make everyone accept and say MY SINS are ok.  I fight against them.  Sure we are all sinners but THIS is taking sin to a whole OLD level and bad things happened.

I also take issue because of what is it doing to our country.  Just like the Houses that came before they turned from Gods commands and turned to their own ways.  It was bad enough with Abortion becoming legal, then took God out of the schools, now taking it out of the Government and now same sex marriage.  ANY ONE CARE TO GUESS HOW GOD ACTS TOWARDS THIS SORT OF BEHAVIOR?  WE are all going to pay the price.  Makes me understand why God said (not in these words) 'kill them all or they will infect you till you drive me away'.  Christians by nature aren't very aggressive.  Stand up and fight for God, no.  Live and let live.  Well we always live and let live until we get so lost we don't know who we are.  So,  as GOD HAS ALWAYS DONE, He lets us go.  Anyone notice the changes taking place in America?  Any of them good?  Wonder why?  It's all our own fault for not STANDING UP AND CRYING OUT 'IN GOD WE TRUST' this is a NATION founded UNDER GOD.  We let every other religion trample all over us.

I remember back when Calif started bringing all these laws against God into being.  I told everyone YOU WATCH, they are gonna burn.  I am stopping right now.    D

Sexual sin seems to be the one sin that affects us the most as it is taken personally.  From homosexuality to NAMBLA to bestiality (the list can go on), what is not of God turns the stomach of those who follow God.  Christians have been warned that this would happen since the letters of the early church had been passed around.  Take the words from 2 Timothy 3:1-5

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

The world is fulfilling this prophecy to the letter.  This fits all sin. not just sexual sin, but sexual sin is different than any other sin, as we read from 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

What about those who are drawn to sexual sins?  Should we turn them away because of their sin, or should we love them enough to show them their sin?  That's a hard one to answer due to how sexual sins affect us spiritually.  It takes the love of Christ working through us to even be able to sit down in a discussion with these people.  It takes the leading of the Holy Spirit to know how to approach the subject and to have the words to say to them.  Remember the words Paul wrote to the church of Corinth about love found in 1 Corinthians 13:3-13

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails ... snip ...

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

We know that many are turning away from God, which was also spoken about in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, before the return of Jesus, and we are seeing this unfold right before our eyes.  With all the warnings from scripture, the body of Christ should not be shocked as what the world is doing, but prepared for we were forewarned.  My only advice is to seek His leading as to what He would have you do for Him about these issues we now face and not spend a lot of time wasted complaining about it.

I believe there is a point where people go too far and God gives them over to their sinful desires, and the reason for the seared conscience. There is a point where God pursues and a point where God stops pursuing. I maybe falsely assume all who willingly go into this sin, even going so far as to have pride days about it,  have probably been ticked off the list.

> This person has already decided to do something they know God is against. Not just once but in a "relationship" over a long period of time or with multiple partners. This more than implies the willingness never to confess, never to acknowledge it's a sin, and instead to go the completely opposite direction.

What kind of dialog can you have with a person like that? If God gave them up there is certainly nothing I can attempt to do for them.

This is why Sodom and Gomorrah left God no other choice. These people were beyond reckoning.

Occasionally someone will, by miracle of miracles, begin to sober up out of the sin sleep. Doesn't seem to happen very often though and I see it as truly a miracle of God. I can see where it would really play with a person's head who A. Has this  sinful attraction and B. Is being told by society it's all ok and they should be proud of it.

At some point they realize this part of them isn't a good thing. It's a self destructive thing, but by then they are past caring. They didn't want God in their knowledge, or they attempted to make a God who would allow their behavior. This never works. It's simply denial. They can't stay in the 'middle' or grey area. So most of them just get deeper and deeper into it becoming more and more blind, hardened and seared.

If the question is , How do we discuss anything with these people? With most of them we probably don't. There is no discussion. We are those primitive Christian ludites who will never adopt the more modern better ways of accepting the 'new morality' which is really just old immorality. We still believe in that book the bible that has been proven to be bogus ( according to them) written by a bunch of Jews with imaginations. What can they do in response to our insistence that God calls sin sin? Make up 'homo' terms for us- like homophobe. Make us look like haters. The bearers of the truth are the enemy. No common ground. Unless God works a miracle to open their eyes and they allow themselves to see, it's sad to say there's no hope.

You give all the reasons why one should follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.  He knows when a person who lives in sin is ready to be approached about their lifestyle.  He knows who He has stopped pursuing.  This is why I clearly stated that " It takes the leading of the Holy Spirit to know how to approach the subject and to have the words to say to them. ", which includes the understanding that if there is no leading of the Holy Spirit to approach them, there will be no words to speak.

This is why I expounded on your thoughts to a greater degree. Because to me it wasn't necessarily clear. The leading of the Holy Spirit says a lot to a Christian, but there are those who might not pick up on what that means exactly. In any case, as almost always is the case, my posts aren't directed at individuals other than to maybe add to something I thought while I read what they posted. Not in any way intended as a correction :)

I understand, but despite this understanding, I was trying to teach others how to fish and not just give them a meal.  If I was "unclear", then this should cause them to search scripture for clarity, or ask themselves.  :emot-handshake:

Perhaps I missed something in Genesis with the story of Adam & Steve? Or the part where Sodom & Gomorrah was told to; be fruitful and multiply? I guess I don't understand biblical teachings to be all inclusive, politically correct, not to exclude anyone based on immoral choices, conduct and behaviors.

There was a time not long ago, where Christians and the collective body of the church influenced our laws and government. Now it is a 180-degree reversal, the government is mandating, dictating and influencing the body of Christ.

Can anyone say, "in the last days?"

I didn't mean to be sarcastic, but what many churches are now doing and teaching, makes my stomach churn. Barf in my mouth would be more poignant.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
