They will be bad for a time, But then afterwards IT WILL GET SO MUCH BETTER! HalleluYah!

Hi Bawb, Yes, there will be a bad time for all when the events in Isaiah 24, which correlate with the events in Revelation 11 occur. Recognizing the correlations pointed out in earlier posts indicates that when the two witnesses are testifying, the Lord will have been making the world empty (through famines), making it waste (through pollution), turning the policies of the worlds governments upside down, and scattering the inhabitants of the world abroad (as refugees). This is where it gets a little more complicated though. At some point when the two witnesses are testifying, the beast who rises from the bottomless pit (in Revelation 9, which is the same beast who rises from the sea in Revelation 13), will make war, contending with the two witnesses, ultimately killing them (Revelation 11:7). The system of the beast with its power from the dragon will have the whole world in adoration of the beast the dragon, and the beasts mouth/the Antichrist (Revelation 13:4:8). There will therefore be a relatively good time for those who love the beast, the dragon, and the beasts mouth during the forty two months that will be allotted them, prior to when the Lord commences to reign (Revelation 11:15).

Isaiah 24:1 Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

Good morning angels4u, I hope and pray that you and I, along with all our other brothers and sisters stay strong in the Word, as our patience will be tried in the upcoming worst of times. God bless.

We watched it many years ago ,it’s good to keep focussed we’re we’re heading,Heaven is our destination, our passports  are signed by the blood of the Lamb and no return :)

I don't know exactly how many times the Bible has "fear not" in it, but if we have faith in the Word, then we should not fear. Nevertheless, the Bible also says that true believers will be tried (1 Peter 1:7; James 1:3), with many experiencing dire circumstances (Daniel 11:33-35). This is where the patience of the saints comes in (Revelation 13:10 & 14:12), when the dragon, the beast, and the beasts mouth/the Antichrist exact compliance and allegiance from everyone, and where those who don't comply, being not allowed to buy or sell (including food).

Revelation 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

I have not watched Pilgrims progress, but now having read a short synopsis on it, I plan to watch it soon. I see there are a few versions available. Any one in particular you recommend?

Interesting thread ... seems to be some animosity amongst some of those in disagreement that must be spilling over from other threads I'm unaware of.

To the point at hand ... Isaiah 24 is obviously pointing to the "Day of the Lord" considering how the chapter ends.

Isa 24:21  On that day the LORD will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth.

Isa 24:22  They will be gathered together as prisoners in a pit; they will be shut up in a prison, and after many days they will be punished.

Isa 24:23  Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the LORD of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders.

Remember there were NO chapter breaks and were added later.  I'd like to continue this thought into Isaiah 25 ...

Isa 25:6  On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined.

Isa 25:7  And he will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations.

Isa 25:8  He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken.

Isa 25:9  It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”

If you realize that Isaiah 25:8 is that passage that Paul quotes in 1 Cor. 15 ... then we realize this is all connected to the "Day of the Lord"!

So obviously, we've not yet arrived to this point ... but this passage of Isaiah 24 should keep us LOOKING UP ... for TRULY our REDEMPTION draws nigh!

Be blessed,

George

Isa 25:6  On this mountain the LORD of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined.

The key words are

"the Lord of host will make FOR ALL PEOPLE a feast of...

This passage is referring to "the Lord of all people"

Before we decide to whom this passage is referring to we need to consider a few key passages.

Esaias was a prophet and he spoke about things to come, the things of the Christ of God.

He used landscapes that reflect matters about the Messiah.

He is referring that something will happen in this mountain, there is not mentioned of the Temple and things pertaining to the Temple and the feast of the Priests in the Temple who only they were allowed to partake of the feasts of the Holy food offered to the Lord and they had to consumed them within the Temple.

The Holy feast for only the priests the Holy ones and their families.

Not for the rest of the people who were not allowed to enter the Holy Place.

* In the passage at hand the Lord of Host the Holy one is remained us of Jesus Christ who made a feast for all people when he died on Golgotha and is inviting all people of the world to partake in the feast to eat his body and to drink his blood.

This passage distinguishes the time under the Law where the Lord of Host was not the Lord God for ALL PEOPLE for the events that took place in the mount of Zion and the Lord of Host as a result became the Lord God of all people of the Earth.

We need to read this together with the passage that say 24:3 "the moon will be confounded and the Sun ashamed "..and the passage that say 25:7  And he will shallow up in THIS MOUNTAIN the covering That is CAST OVER ALL PEOPLE, the VAIL that is SPREAD over ALL NATIONS.

(This does not identify the Lord God of the Jews who was bound by the Sinai Covenant and who made the distinction between the descendants of Abraham, to Issac to Jacob "Israel" and all the house of Jacob, the Lord who said to Faraoh that he only is the God of Israel and he rejected Faraoh and the rest of the world as bdeligma to him.

The Lord who even refused to be the God of Ismael and the God of tween brother of Issac.

These passages are reference to the change that will came with Jesus Christ.

After the Nations are gathered together as in the pit (SHEOL) in Greek HADES the Inheritance of the Nations before the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the mountain out of the Temple we see the Lord has set them free from their prisoner and has made a feast for them in mount Zion , his Holy Mountain.

This is the reference to the passage that Jesus Christ has the Keys of Death and Hades.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
