Knowledge will increase can point to anything, if that is what you mean that by "it's already pretty much written it will happen".  As far as I am concerned, computer chips belong on circuit boards, no in people.  This idea reminds me so much of Genesis 3:1-5

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.  For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

People can get in enough trouble by the slower means in which we connect to the internet now.  Image what would happen if the connection and results were done at the speed of thoughts?  I seriously think this tool is not of God.

theoretically the chip would call 911 for help in the event of a stroke and might save a life or being handicapped.  Dementia????  Maybe an early warning that it's happening.   I think I'm more concerned with having access to all your memories and thought processes.   And who controls the chip operation.

If the chip is as he is talking about, just an interface to your phone and you have total control in that connection, it would/could be promoted as a great thing.  A super tool to put one in touch with pretty much all the information of the world....

But if one thinks the dark side would not take it and use it against humanity as a whole......   well one doesn't know much about the dark ones who already  pretty much run the world as it is.

Ask yourself, what would the increase of God hating, sinful ideas do to a spirit filled believer, even an unbeliever?  Will this chip come with a built in filter??  As for dialing 911, when it's my time, just let me go - don't try to keep me here ... if it is my time, nothing will be able to keep me and if it's not, nothing will take me.

Well, far be it from me to promote the chips, however the other side of that is valid also.   What would be the increase if we had direct connection to those people who needed the gospel message and would accept the knowledge through the chips...

The filter part is a very valid concern though, however we are inundated with all that through our slow internet connections even now.

It's just a tool, but some tools are more dangerous than others....   Nuclear weapons are just a tool too, but we don't all need to have one...

My two cents is not really for or against, just make sure we know what we are getting into...   and right now I don't think that's possible..   AND THAT'S WHY I'M GOING TO PASS ON THAT.

Over the years I have also advocated for the proper use of tools, but as you said, not all tools are for everyone.  A nuke in the wrong hands, an inexperienced pilot flying a jet, a child driving, etc.  It's the proper usage of tools that determines the outcome for the good.  Yet, the access of all the worlds information at the speed of a thought would be so dangerous as the flesh would take over at the speed of a thought.

Your second sentence threw me back a bit as those who would receive the chip would of already had access to scripture far before they would have access to the chip.  I will place my faith in the Holy Spirit to draw others to Christ, not a chip.

Everyone follows  Elon Musk around almost like he is a God hanging on his next idea like it's going to take us all into the next step. This is the humanist view called transhumanism.

Supposedly he is going to take us to Mars permanently, make us all smarter using embedded chips in our brains, make the entire planet electric and take us all off of fossil fuels. He is building a new robot that will be people friendly and can do humans chores. He is into all sorts of other things. Not too long ago his car company almost went bust and he was close to being headed to file bankrupcy. Then almost out of nowhere he managed to get funding LOTS of funding to keep Tesla alive. His other ventures such a his reusable space rockets are pretty amazing. 

I have reason to believe he has become the spokes person for human advancement on behalf of the world's elite who are looking to build another technological tower of Babel that doesn't need God. I believe fully 3/4 of what he says is all pie in the sky ideas that he somehow has unlimited funding for. He is the dreamer that is pulling everyone into the mindset that man is arriving as one of the gods.

Tesla itself is a PR spectacle that doesn't tell us the whole truth. The way the Lithium is mined and how it strips our planet of forest land. 

I see his brain implant tech similarly. The PR for it will be very convincing until it's implemented at which point they can then begin to control people using this tech. There is also the issue of safety. Anything else can be hacked, so can these implants. And can you imagine an advertisement you can't get rid of because it's coming right into your brain?

There will be many fooled into following a false God.  Perhaps this is the way it will be done?  Matthew 24:24-25

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  See, I have told you beforehand.

What great sign and wonder it would be to have information at your fingertips just by thinking it.

the chip that he is talking about is simply an interface to your phone.   That information is already at your fingertips, he's just talking about moving what we have to interface with our brain instead of our fingers and thumbs.  Lets not make too much or to little out of it.
