Where are you trying to find Jesus?

Can you see Jesus working His wonders at any place? How many people are being truly transformed by the power of the gospel?

There are moments that, amid so many distresses, injustice, suffering, etc., we are impelled to think that Jesus forsook us?

•    Psa 22:1,2 -> “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.”.
•    Psa 42:7-9 -> “Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me. By day the LORD commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. I say to God, my rock: “Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?””.
•    Psa 43:2-5 -> “For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling! Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
•    Psa 77:7-9 -> “ “Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah. Then I said, “I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High.” “.

Nonetheless, even if He seems far away, we need to struggle to overcome the torpidity of this world (as it is suggested below):

•    Mat 26:40,41 -> “And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”;
•    Rom 13:11 -> “Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.”.
•    1Co 15:34 -> “Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. *For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame*.”.
•    Eph 5:14 -> “for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”.

Of course: one of the difficulties of finding Jesus is that many people think that Jesus can be found only in the religion institutions. Nevertheless, Jesus and His wisdom can be found at any place, even where the commerce reigns:

•    Pro 1:20 -> “Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice;”;
•    Pro 8:1-3 -> Does not wisdom call? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights beside the way, at the crossroads she takes her stand; beside the gates in front of the town, at the entrance of the portals she cries aloud:”;
•    Pro 8:34 -> “Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors.”.

Besides, take a look at where we can find those who are really needy and opened to Jesus and His Word:

•    Luk 14:21-23 -> “So the servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’ And the servant said, ‘Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’ And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.”.

In practice, most of the people think that Jesus will call to His kingdom those who are in some religious institution. However, He sent His servants, not to the synagogues, but to the places where, usually, we can find criminals (recollect that the excerpt above is referring to a feast at night).

So, have a good day trying to find Jesus in all your paths (Prov 3:5,6). Wherever you go (regardless the motive which moved you toward this place), strain to find Jesus and His will there:

•    2Ch 16:9 -> “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him…”.

I guess I would have to say that he found me in the shower one night talking with the devil.  Before that I knew who he was but we were not close.  Certainly had not turned it all over to him.

You know that brought back a crazy memory I would pray in the shower when I was younger because of the crowd I was with I felt it was the only place I could pray without being overheard 👶

That was a weird time in my life, I hadn’t fully given myself to him either at that time

I was in a 62 VW bug driving home late at night after work on a winding country road.
Having a conversation with God that was to be the turning point in my life, from death to life.

Without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.    Heb 11:6

And this is life eternal that they might know thee the only true  God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.   John 17:3

We find God when we need Him and truly seek to find Him.

For everyone who asketh recieves ,  , and he who seeketh findeth and to him that knocketh it shall be opened,     Matt 7:8

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
